Obviously LOST is a good choice too

I've been trying to watch this and can't get into it. Too childish.

How far did you get? First 10 episodes are pretty childish, but from there the show matures quite a bit. Season 2 and 3 I would hardly call immature for the characters mature as the journey continues and their enemies get smarter, more competent, and threatening. I'd hardly call an antagonist like Azula childish material.

I watched the ninth episode earlier this morning. I'm not really put off by it, just can't seem to get into the story. I end up reading TD or playing on my phone during most of the episodes

Get to the Storm at least (It and the Blue Spirit are Avatar's version of "Walkabout") and skip Episode 10 since it just sucks and is the most childish episode in the series.

Cool. Thanks for the advice. I'll probably skip episode 10 and move straight to 11 tomorrow

Take that back. Just looked on Wikipedia to make sure I got the episode order right, and I was mistaken. Watch episode 10, skip episode 11. Episode 12 is the episode I watched first and is a great character development episode.

Tryout MI-5. Its a BBC show. I think there are 7 seasons.
Its domestic counter-terrorism. Great writing and acting.
