I would love to see a Godzilla movie made in the same fun sense as the originals.

The Wizard of Oz?

While i think the original is brilliant and legendary, i think if done correctly, it could be neat and would bring a new generation of kids into the fold.

I know someone mentioned The Black Hole earlier in the thread, and with this I totally concur. Joseph Kosinski, who is directing Tron Legacy will tackle Black Hole as his next film project. While a bit hokey, Black Hole was one of my favorite movies of all time because of the impression it made on me as a kid. Anyone who saw that movie in the theater remembers Maximillian, who at the time (1979) rivaled Darth Vader for coolest scary bad guy. With today's tech, and from what I have seen of Kosinski's job on the new Tron, I am super excited with what this project could become. Kosinski said he wants to keep the tone dark, just like the original. I always though that this movie was rife for a re-make and would benefit from today's tech.

Maximillian was a bad arse

Rosemary's baby.

Just to see what they'd do with it with today

this is great idea. how would they be able to get away with action.

This also makes think of Helen Keller. this would also be very interesting to see in a movie.

Right on. It took a special director to screw that up that bad.

Sargent York is a good call, too.

I'd like to see someone take on The Blue Max, if they did it for real (the Red Baron movie from a year ago was only 1/5 real and 4/5 schmaltz.)

Some of the WWII flicks, like 'A Bridge Too Far' and 'The Battle of Britain' would make fine remakes. The Battle of Britain story is a remarkable one. They have to be done in the Band of Brothers realism style.

Oldboy being remade is an f-ing joke.

And no. I like both those movies a lot and they in no way need to be remade.
