Not saying Ladder was groundbreaking or anything but at the time, I had not seen a movie handles themes that way. Now we have had several, so I could see people not thinking much of Ladder these days.
If you saw this when it first came out, it would trip your shite because it was pretty unique.
I remember just being stunned in the "Lady Marmelade" scene. And the drive-by seen was creepy as shite.
When the movie ended, and it really hit me what it had been about, I was blown away. I went and watched it again and enjoyed it even more.
But, as has been said, I didn't enjoy the more recent movies of the same theme as much as other people because I had already been blown away by Jacob's Ladder.

im surprised at the amount of responses.... i still haven't watched it yet. i probably will sometime this weekend. thanks for everyone's opinions. sounds like a ride...
