This is the only show that i refuse to post during. Afterwards i will be all over this thread.

Same. I'll have a list of questions ready after.

I'm thinking about after the series is over....buying a boat and trying to find the island.

Eager to see if they even attempt to salvage the Jack character after all of the damage his actions have done in the past 3 seasons.

Why do you think he was sitting near the cockpit?

His drugs were in the bathroom next to the cockpit.

Jack's actions have been pretty consistent. As Sawyer puts it, Jack never thinks things through and just acts on first impulse. This has lead Jack to do some really stupid things. Sawyer is a much better leader than Jack is.

Jack was a man of science and now he's a man of faith. The damage done in the past three seasons was just progress.

Also has anyone seen this video a fan made about Jack & John

Agreed. Which is why its hard to imagine the series ending via some huge heroic act by Jack. I wouldn't buy it, and I doubt others would. He has shown to be a very poor leader, and IMO doesn't deserve to close out the series as the "main good guy".

Also, this episode is actually "LA X" (with a space), according to Lostpedia. Take from that what you will.

Don't get me wrong, Jack loves doing heroic acts. I could certainly see Jack being redeemed by not going off first impulse and coming up with a great plan.

And from your original thread, Jack is hardly the worst leader in LOST, nevertheless all of TV. Locke and Ben are certainly worse leaders than Jack is.

International flights usually use the 747 which have a set of bathrooms between first class and coach.

I always assumed he was in these restrooms and ran a couple ailses into the coach area and the plane split right at the beginning of the coach area.

He's not a poor leader imo. He's a guy who believes he can fix everything that has gone wrong in his life and make the right decision. Jack isn't the "clean/cut hero", which actually makes me like him more.

Remember thats why he went to the cockpit in the first place was to get the drugs, and it was certainly the bathroom closest to the cockpit.

What makes you say this? Locke and Ben (and Sawyer, for that matter...maybe even Horace) have shown themselves to be competent leaders. Don't get me wrong, their methods are questionable, but they get shite done.

Assuming Ben has no reason to stab me in the back, give me THAT GUY as my leader over Jack, no question.

I'm not anti-Jack, per say. Its just a very frustrating character to watch, what with all of the irrational decision making and the inevitably that his decisions lead to things going wrong.

Just watched the clip. The front piece is definitely big enough to encompass the set of bathrooms between coach and first class, but Charlie comes out of the bathrooms nearest the cockpit.

Kind of surprising they'd miss this.

But maybe we're getting too picky. It reminds of when Jorge Garcia asked the writers about who had Shannon's inhaler.

Locke- Takes about a 1/3 of the survivors and gets almost all of them killed. He also destroys the computer and almost kills everyone on the Island and perhaps the world at that moment. Also Locke can be easily pushed around by forces greater than himself and Ben.

All of the prominent Others but Richard are dead. Ben doesn't give a damn about life since he is a complete sociopath and sees everyone as expendable. He gets good plans, but all Ben cares about are the end results and not who is harmed or killed in the process. Ben has even sacrificed his own daughter in order to ensure that he stays on the Island. 24 Others were killed under Ben's watch. Would you really prefer this psychopath, a person who sacrifices his own daughter to save himself, over Jack? At least I know for the most part Jack is looking after my back, while i know that Ben could care less.

He also blew up the only means of transportation off the island based on a belief that everyone belonged there.

He bends to the whim of anyone who makes him feel "special." Locke's entire life journey is one manipulation after another - his father, the undercover cop who busted his commune, Ben, and finally the Nemesis. Locke is most easily manipulated character on the island.

In my opinion, the best leaders are Sayid and Sawyer (if he isn't conning you.)

Sawyer I would say you can trust if you get to know him. He is extremely protective and will think things through. He is rational and will listen to second opinions, while Jack (apart from Sayid's) and Ben won't. Its their way or the highway. Sawyer I would say is easily the best leader of the show.

I still can't find myself trusting Sawyer...

Charlie should have been in the cockpit when the plane crashed, not the mid-section.
