Rose is already there
I think its either Desmond or nobody..... Desmond is the only major player left that HAS to make a return to the island.

that may be true but they always put cast members names in the credits whether they show up in an epi or not. plus i think someone already listed desmond as having a centric episode at some part of this season.

Pretty sure they weren't really helping anyone come to the island. Jacob just wanted Jack to get angry and think about things for a while.

Like I said, I think its either that or it is indeed Desmond.... I just want to believe it is the latter because 108 is just too significant to be nothing.
If he really wanted to make sure he got Jack interested he could have just told Hurley to turn it to 23 degrees and guarantee Jack would see his name on the wheel and his childhood home

anyway - this episode kicked 12 levels of arse, one of my favorite for sure
I didnt really answer much but it didnt open up any other real new mysteries for me. I just really like where this is heading. Plus the opening fight scene between Sayid and Dokken was awesome
This was probably my favorite episode of this season....either this one or LAX. The MiB's attack on the temple was one of the best sequences LOST has ever done IMO.
Loved the fight b/w Sayid and Dogan as well. It was well choreographed and shot better than 90% of fight scenes in movies today (which seem to be all about quick cuts and not being able to tell what the frick is going on).
And I know its already been mentioned, but the scene at the end w/ Sayid and Ben was spot on. The "oh shite" look Ben had on his face as he slowly backed away was

yeah i'm starting to think it was just a two fold ploy to 1) get them away from the temple 2) get jack to stare out in the ocean

yep
It's going to be glorious when the entire season ends and it turns out there is no Wallace

I was going over a couple episodes of the 2nd season, and thought to myself who from the tail section is still alive? Just Bernard.(Anna Lucia dead, Ecko dead, Libby dead, etc, etc) The only reason they lived was because Bernard was with them. They all die shortly after Rose/Bernard reunited.
Rose was terminally sick, but the island healed her(only special people get healed). She has a consummate "good soul", and had foresight "my husband's not dead".
We kinda know that Rose/Bernard are Adam/Eve from that easter egg in the flash room. Oh and the whole black and white thing...just to say we planned it that way from the beginning(casting).
Am I right or am I just up too late
I think the first question is: why is Jacob bringing some to the island? Well, Jacob is dead and MIB as Flocke seems to be in control; in other words Jacob seems to be losing the game. So it's crunch time and Jacob needs to bring a difference maker. No offense to Rose's character (I like here benevolence) but I just don't see Rose as a difference maker. I still believe it will be Desmond.
Someone here mentioned a comment by Eloise Hawking to Desmond that island is not through with Desmond. Desmond promised Penny that he would not go back the island so Penny and his newborn son, Charlie, are his main focus. For this reason I think Penny might come to the island and Desmond will follow to find her. I would guess that Penny's appearance will probably be related to her father, Widmore, also getting back to the island.

Quite possible and I do think that was the main reason for Jacob's instructions to Hurley to get Jack thinking about his future. However, I can't think of an instance when Jacob has lied which is why I think someone is coming to the island per Jacob's direction.

Again, I think its either Desmond (His name was changed at some time.... Wallace is a common name with his ethnicity) or nobody.
But I ask again, why would Jacob have Hurley turn it to 108? Why not just have him turn it to 23 and guarantee Jack would see his name and his childhood home.

As I said before the fans have more info on what is going on. I honestly think the writers saw how deep the fans took it and said "frick I wrote that on the can last night and now it is a major plot theme."
I agree. Many fans are pissed b/c 'not all questions will be answered'. I truly think it would be impossible to answer everything simply because most of the questions were not meant to be questions at all. We get a lot of hints to answers and that should be enough. Their were some fans that didn't believe flocke was the smoke monster even after he told Ben "sorry you had to see me like that". If some people still questioned flocke = smoke monster after that... how could they be satisfied with anything that isn't spoon fed to them?

i won't even go into that "producers ran out of time" thread anymore.

I think someone is definitely "coming" to island, whether or not their name is Wallace and whether or not it's someone we already know or someone who has been on the island before. My big thing is not "who" is coming, but "when" they are coming. Hurley reopened the possibility of more time travel when they stumbled back onto Adam and Eve at the cave.

Wasn't it Desmond's not pressing the hatch button and releasing all the energy that downed flight 815?
If so, what downed Ajira (forgot the number)? Would there have to be another energy release? If so, has it occurred and we are unaware of it? If it has not occurred, I think that alludes to more time travel as well.

That's what we've been led to believe.

I don't know. Not sure if they're going to go into much more detail about the Ajira flight...we're running out of episodes.

I feel like the creators have more fun raising questions than answering them. Kind've like how it is more fun to write a test than take one?

Reading this triggered something in my head. Didn't Jacob tell MIB "they are coming" before he kicked him into the fire. That could be a hint that someone important is coming to the island w/o specifying if they are male or female. Some may think he was referring to Ilana's group but what if he was referring to mysterious #108?
He even made a point to tell Hurley that they'd find a way to the island w/o the lighthouse. As mentioned, Jacob hasn't been very deceitful in the past so if noone was on their way I'm sure he would've just told Hurley that wasn't the purpose of coming to the lighthouse.
