Why didn't Flocke just turn into the Smokey before everyone's eyes?

Because the CGI would have been really REALLY cheesy. It was best and easiest for him to leave the scene then return.

Also... Dogan = Vincent =

Ben is about the smallest person on the island right? When he "KILLS" Jacob, Why didn't Jacob not put up a fight?

You mean you really didn't get the biblical references in that scene? Why didn't Jesus just save himself if he is God? He gave Ben a choice and Ben chose to kill him. Jacob wasn't going to fight back.

...and we may find that Jacob sacrificed himself for something bigger.

Exactly. LOST boils down to a classic struggle between good and evil with choices that might or might not effect the outcome.

it has something to do with him becasue they mentioned how it was a different color and had never been so before. What changed? Jacob died. Maybe the fountain of youth or healing died when he did or this is how he manifests his power. He can only enter a dead body like MIB which is why they drowned sayid when he was struggling in the water. So Jacob could enter his body. It makes sense in my head.

we know or at least think we know already that one of MIB's weaknesses or barriers is water and another is ash. how did MIB infect Sayid postmortem on the inside of the ash ring? was Sayid infected prior to or by the way he died? the spring water has nothing to do with MIB and everything to do with Jacob.

Since when has water been a barrier for him? "Locke" was discovered having his feet in water and looking at the original Island. Water is not the Monster's weakness. The reason he hasn't been able to cross it is there is some sort of barrier between the outside world and the Island.

Ben opened a drain in a small pool of water under the lower temple to release the smoke monster

Smoke monster also chased Juliette and Kate through the pouring rain, breaking up their hot & wet catfight.

maybe it's just allergic to the magical spring water

see that's the great thing about this show, every time you think you're onto something they rip it away

Earlier the thread, I talked about an old Twilight Zone episode that dealt with the ability to alter the past. It's interesting in comparison to LOST.

Back There

quote:

Mr. Peter Corrigan, lately returned from a place "back there", a journey into time with highly questionable results, proving on one hand that the threads of history are woven tightly and the skein of events cannot be undone, but on the other hand, there are small fragments of tapestry that can be altered. Tonight's thesis to be taken as you will, in the Twilight Zone.

I said something about this when Faraday was talking about altering the past and changing the future with his "variables" talk. He was saying something to the effect of: x + 5 = y, as in y is the future and you can change some things in the past (x) to alter it. However, I think he had it wrong. I think it looks more like: x + y = 5, where you can alter events in the past, but the ultimate outcome will always be the same.

is that a dog whistle around Dogan's neck? he clutches it when he is told that Sayid is alive.

Dogan -> Dog -> Vincent

Dogan is Vincent. book it. Lost solved. yw
I presented a theory last week that vincent has been used by jacob/mib. maybe the whistle summons smokie/something else.

"You wouldnt happen to know anything about TV's or home theater gear?"

I know that Jacob's body was not in that fire and he made no attempt to save himself from stabbing from a weak arse puss & I'll let you handle the TV'S or home theater gear Mr. Best Buy.

No sir I missed it... Jesus came born to virgin, preached the gospel, performed mircles and died on a cross for you and me.

Jacob gets stabbed in a dark, smokey staute by the biggest puss on a television show?
