easy to say, but he's outnumbered like crazy. he's supposed to speak up to the entire family who already has him under a microscope? a guy like Greg would be scared shitless to do that

Could have been explained away because of Jack's "human lie detector" ability, maybe she was afraid Jack would be able to figure out Pam had told him beforehand...but she still spills the beans to Greg about Jack AFTER he interrogates Greg
I love the conversation right afterwards with him and Pam.
"Is this how you react to all of your boyfriends telling you about a lie detector test? What if I had told ou he shoved bamboo shoots up my fingernails?"
And when he asks why she never told him, she said because it was on a need to know basis. frick off with that nonsense.

It's easy to blame him for that frick up. Just fricking say you couldn't find the cat. Had he never brought in the painted stray, things would have been much better for him....... Much better, but still shitty. Watching this flick for the first time, I was thinking, "oh shite, you dumb frick, don't do it!".
True, but like I said...at least he admitted that it was only a temporary fix until he found the real Mr. Jinx. Remember he was on the phone with a local animal shelter when Jack went to check his messages and found out that Jinx was at the neighbor's house.
Agreed he should've told them he hasn't found the cat yet, but he was trying to make up for what he perceived to be a terrible showing with his gf's parents because he was dating a totally obnoxious whore. Also, he wanted to gain points with Jack because he planned on asking his permission to marry Pam.
Still stupid though, if only because he knew how trained Jinx was, so as soon as Jack saw Jinx and he wasn't responding to the cues or performing the tricks, everyone would become suspicious.

You brought up a good point regarding the volleyball teams. Everyone knows that when you have 8 players, and 2 are girls, each team gets a bitch. So, not only should their be one girl on each team, but frickin' Pam should have made it a point to be on Greg's team. This would have also spared him the punishment of the whorish Top Gun bullshite she pulled with Kevin.
Exactly. Why in the frick would Pam and Gaylord not be on the same team? I mean shite...Deb and Dr. Bob were on the same team! Plus, Jack adores Kev-O anyway, so I'm sure he'd have loved to have him on his team.
Teams should've been:
Bob, Deb, Jack, Kevin
Greg, Pam, Denny, Larry

This thread reminds me of my gripe about the beloved Rudolph the Red Nosed Reindeer story.
Dude gets laughed at and ostracized, humiliated to the point of suicide almost, yet only when he saves the day(Christmas), is he accepted and shown an inkling of human(reindeer) kindness and acceptance.
What the frick message is this sending to kids?
"Sorry everyone hates you Jimmy, but if you only could have some sort of superhuman power, everything would be great."
Rudolph should have sic'd the Abominable Snowman on their asses and got his blood revenge.

Beat me to it. I went into the movie expecting it to be a masterpiece the way people were talking about it.
I thought it was great the first time I saw it. Just completely a giant frick you to Greg as every single thing that could've went wrong, did...and then some.
I thought the second one was really funny as well. Never saw the last one though.
I'm not sure where the board stands on those movies, as to know where I stand socially on them, but I liked them both. Also, welcome to the M/TV board, where we overanalyze the frick out of movies, no matter how awesoem or mediocre they are (Home Alone, Meet the Parents, TDK, Karate Kid, etc.).

Are we to understand that she had literally told her parents nothing about greg prior to this weekend? I mean, Jack seems shocked to find out that Greg was a male nurse. As soon as I start dating someone, my mom is blasting me with questions about who I'm seeing, what does she do, tell me about her, etc. Surely Pamcake's parents would've done the same thing. It's not like she doesn't have a good relationship with them.
Also, stupid move on Gaylord's part to even want to propose anyway without ever having met or talked to her parents. That's dating 101, Gay.

Starts with Jack though. Larry and everyone else called him Focker on Jack's lead IMO. Had he said something maybe the night before at dinner he could've stopped Jack from doing it, and others would've followed suit. Who knows.

This is almost 100% of the time in movies it seems.
Like, the couple will be getting married, and the parents meet either the bride or groom for the first time that weekend of the wedding or some shite.

Don't care...Nothing is worse than having Barbara Streisand for a mom.

Pam's Playboy spread was very "meh".
So there's that, also.

I actually thought it was really good. I remember when I saw it, she was MUCH hotter than I expected her to be. I was very pleasantly surprised.

Airbrushing.
And, on another note, isn't Terri Polo a lezbo in real life?
I know she plays one on that ABCFamily crapfest show, but I thought I read that she was.
Oh well.

I thought she looked pretty good, but it was your typical "celebrity nude shoot".
She's nobody special. She should've gone for the gusto, and done more of a Playmate type shoot.
ETA: Guess that's wishful thinking

I didn't enjoy it the first viewing. I liked it more later, but I still don't love it. It has more to do with the type of movie it is, the progressively awkward scenarios just makes me anxious.

Yeah, I get that. It's why some people don't like The Office and most of the humor around Michael Scott. But for me, awkward = funny, so I love it. Same with MtP I guess.

The Office I can handle.
