I love the music. Spot on for the time period. At Episode 4 and still good.

I didn't know they were gay for each other

If it's got Javier Bardem in it, I'm in.

It cracked me up when the friendly black guy he just met in a maximum security prison in the early 90s says “what’s your deal? You’re gay right?”.
I haven’t spent a lot of time in prison but I’m pretty sure that’s a high risk approach.

Music is on point. "Blame It On the Rain" holds up.

The funeral scene with the Milli Vanilli song was so awkwardly funny

Haven't seen any of it but have seen lots of shows that detail the events of their parents slaying and how they were acting before, and after their deaths.
It didn't take Sherlock Holmes to put 2 and 2 together to figure they were involved in the deaths of their parents.
And that whole "We were sexually abused" defense is mighty convenient when both parents can't testify to defend themselves against the slanderous lies they were spewing in court.
Then having a psychiatrist having a tape of both of them confessing to him they did kill their parents that finally came to light.........

Also when the mom snatched his wig off i did not see that coming lol
The details of the abuse they give in the jail interviews are really nasty but I'm gonna power through just like Dahmer it's all very fricked up but fascinating at the same time.

I could not stop laughing at "Girl I'm Gonna Miss You" playing at the funeral.
"This one's for you Mom!"
That was hilarious.
The idea he was talking about for the Buffalo Wings place that was as prevalent as TCBY was way ahead of it's time.

Damn episode 5 was rough. Had to skip through chunks of it. I will give them credit for the 35 minute long take and the Erik actor during it

I’ve enjoyed it but there’s no reason this should have stretched into 10 episodes.
We’re talking about a father molesting his sons and prison time and some of you seem surprised it has a gay undertone
I get woke but it’s kind of just a very relevant subject matter for this case.
Still doesn’t appear anything that happened to them warranted being blown to pieces. But it interesting that sexual abuse in the household was such a taboo and unheard of subject matter at the time.

Finished first episode. It’s hard to believe this stuff really happened. Seems like just a really out there 80’s movie. But nobody could make this stuff up. I certainly remember hearing about it maybe even caught a doc or two over the years. Didn’t seem overly interesting to me but I do remember the media circus about it.
The scenes with the trick or treaters were great. He couldn’t believe the little girl didn’t know what his costume was - Tom Cruise in Cocktail. Brilliant. The wig scene. The psychiatrist was an idiot if that’s how things really went down with the confession. The music was awesome. Watched the Mili Vanili doc not too long ago so seeing people in “real time” while they are falling for that fraud is great and just adds to it. Those songs are still good by the way.
Seems like such a unique series so far even though it’s based on real events and characters that are so stereotypical of the time.

No one is complaining that it's woke. And it's not a "gay undertone" at all. It's practically a gay porn at times. It just caught us but surprise.

The murder scene has to be up there among the most morbid and graphic all-timers. Certainly as true story reenactments go. People usually just don’t die as quickly and easily as Hollywood portrays. The brothers certainly did their parents no favors with how they carried it out. Reminds me of the tale about the guy who needed to kill his dog as humanely as possible. Goes up to it and the first shot just nicks it. It takes off running so he unloads the magazine on a now moving target from long distance. Just brutal.

Wait you watched every episode and didn't think his fathers actions warranted being blown away?

FYI Lyle really did request Girl I'm gonna miss you by Milli Vanilli be played at their parents' memorial
The acting in this show is some of the best all-around I have seen this year
The whole series was well done
