Hollywood definitely has a really bad track record with Fantastic Four.
I'm at the point where I'm most likely not watching this in a theater. Depends on audience reviews.

People will be overly critical of any decision Disney makes with any of these movies and social media will try to rile up people because they need to generate clicks and views. (Which is somewhat fair because Disney dug their own grave with regards to this). Comics have long sense been a safe haven for groups that have felt alienated. Now that they are more mainstream people freak out as if this is some recent crap.
I dont get why you woke people get so butthurt over people not liking woke content. You get what you want 100% of the time. Its not like there is a bunch of "unwoke" stuff to watch. Hollywood forced out anyone with contradictory views years ago.
America has spoken time and time again. We dont want woke BS in our entertainment. Disney will just learn another hard lesson when this comes out.

The problem is the large entities who own most of the shares of Disney stock (and Walt's stupid granddaughter or daughter or whatever she is to him) want them to continue this stupidity. They had a chance to right the ship last year and didn't do it. I'm not sure who would step in now. They're stuck with what they've got.

My kid and his buddies are hyped to go see it but I’m skeptical. Female silver surfer, Mary Sue Storm, beta Reed and soy boy Johnny Storm is what the leaks are saying and that’s not good.

Yeah I hope all this is false, but no news about the film contradicts any of this.

This is the cue for some moron to point out that at some point sometime in the past they temporarily gave the Silver Surfer's girlfriend/wife his powers in the comics and that means we should all believe Silver Surfer being female isn't something anyone should talk about.

And not only all this, but the wokesters on this site will argue that Hollywood or Disney aren’t woke. Or that wokeness doesn’t even exist. Which would be news to Disney and its leftist actors.
There are literal racial and gender quotas for casting and normal people would not be ok with that.

I’ll probably still see it. I was excited for the movie bc of Galactus. For all the flaws of the Eternals, the celestials did look awesome. I figured Galactus could get that same treatment.
The female surfer is a bad sign but hopefully it’s the only such issue.
I was foolishly hoping that Disney had finally learned its lesson with the MCU but I guess not. I know Lucas Films is a lost cause but I held out hope for MCU.
