I thought ted was holding her feet to the fire.

I guess Walt just can't keep his mouth shut. He has to show his intellectual superiority, or at least in this case that he knows the score. It did him a service here because he found out some of Gus' hand when he threatened him. Kind of a win for Walt.
If I had to guess, I would think Walt's only hope is probably Mike. I can see him showing up out of nowhere to help his cause, but I'm probably wrong. It would be cooler than the cops winning.
The Walt and Hank showdown has to be coming soon, too.

As in "Give me money to pay off my creditors."?
Isn't it funny that two guys sent by a "trip-and-fall" attorney cause a "trip-and-fall" death?

and the subtle little almost trip and fall earlier in the show...
I wonder - as much as Hector has been waterboarded (in his own slobber) - if he's going to make some sort of big play in the future.

This episode again drives home the message: Never trust a woman with your money!

I didn't get the impression at all that Ted was trying to blackmail her.
He most certainly was. He's dirty as hell. He just wanted a bigger check.

Where is Walt's money? I know the money under the house wasn't his entire stash. Is it tied up in "investments?"
He's got like well over 1/2 a million in the car wash I think. And 600k to Dead Ted. He's lost money before on other shite too.

Why didn't Walt keep his mouth closed out in the desert?
Because he's a dipshit sometimes.

Maybe so, but I didn't get that impression. Moot point now! :lol"

Doesn't he have several million dollars?

Pride is one of the seven deadly sins. Walt just can't keep his mouth shut and let things go. What was his speech to the other cancer patient about "control?" Walt controls nothing!

A flashback sequence on him realizing a bunch of his deadly sins would be perfect, and cool to watch because you know Vince would do it right.

When Ted tripped
They foreshadowed the trip when Skyler came to see him. He tripped on the rug answering the door for her.

This show has completely mind fricked me. I have actually started rooting against Walt, and disliking him, which I didn't think was possible.
I'm sure they will twist me right back around before the end of the season.

Yep, me too. Actually, they've done it to me with just about every character one way or another, and sometimes back: Walt, Jesse, Gus, Mike, Hank. Just about everyone but Skyler - that whore!

The stupid part is that Walt doesn't want out. He talks about getting out but if he really wanted out he would've quietly accepted Gus' firing him, bought himself some time, and then "disappeared" but he had to open his big mouth.

Yep, I told my wife - "his body is going to be wrapped up in that rug". Close anyway.
After Gus's threat to Walt's family I'm looking for something involving the bad guys and Walter Jr. There is nothing that would hurt Walt more.
And I think Hector is going to find a way to communicate and bring Gus down.
The direction Walt goes next week will be very interesting. Going directly after Gus seems the logical route. If he dies then it probably saves his family. If Gus dies ditto. Mike is out of the picture. This could result in a face of with Jesse who would have to decide whether to protect Gus or not (forget what I said about Hector).
Great show, I never look forward to future episodes of a show like this.

Walt has also paid for 2 major medical situations. That can get really expensive. Not to mention saul scrapes a lot off the top.

This. He keeps dragging himself back into the picture. Hank had closed the case on "Heisenberg" until Walt got drunk and ran his mouth, and should have simply said "thank you for not killing me" when Gus fired him.

I thought he also lost a bunch in like season 2 maybe? I missed a few episodes in there, but I thought catching the drift that a large chunk of cash might have gotten lost? Maybe not.
And he burned a little in his barbeque pit.

BTW is it just me or does it take anyone else about 10 minutes or so after the episode is finished to just calm down?
For sure

I don't think I've ever been so consistently pleased with a show, besides maybe lost. Lost was more frustrating and left me disappointed or angry. This show has so much more.

He also paid for a lot of Hank's medical bills, and I think they said he spent 1 mil on the car wash, and he also spent money on the condo. But he needed $500K for the new IDs and then he would have needed some to live on, otherwise everything he's done, in regards to cooking and taking the chances he's taken, has been for nothing. Which I think is what he realized as he lay in the crawl space laughing.
