I actually disagree here. I thought it was another example of Rob bossing the game. If he's not going to search for idols, he'll make it even more awkward for those that get idols.
I also thought it was funny how Rob just hangs out by the ring game, and everyone comes to him to discuss things. He was like the mob boss hanging out behind his desk while his people come in one by one to offer their input.

Yeah that was awesome. As soon as he called the shot on Danni and they all agreed they showed him land the hook
I do still think that was more a desperation play at tribal with the bags. Just because they went along with it didn’t make it a boss move. Especially since he was so flustered in the moment he missed the two of them hiding their idol halves.
That was his big mistake. Now he thinks they don’t have it, which is even more dangerous than just not knowing. That could really bite him.

Rob is hands down the best player to play this game in my opinion. But that is just my opinion so I'm not gonna argue it. Even if you disagree with that point he is definitely the most famous survivor player who was unknown before playing.
Why on earth he wasn't the first person voted out is amazing to me. Parvatti allying with him i get it. She is one of the best to do it also and She thinks she can beat him straight up. I don't disagree with her on that. But, the fact he has survived two votes now and not even had his name written down just speaks to how good he really is.
So that said you can call the flipping of the bags a bad move. But everyone did it. Without question, just because he mentioned it. That in itself is amazing
I don't think he wins. I like Yul at this point because damn that dude is playing like a beast early on. The fact he did his homework and researched everyone else before the game speaks to how good he is.

Oh I agree, not arguing against that at all.
But that still doesn’t mean he can’t make mistakes, and I just thought that was a bad move, especially because he wasn’t watching the ones he suspected closer than he was. That’s all I was saying
I like Yul and Ethan as well

I was wondering the same thing. How on earth are these people not getting votes? Although, this happens a lot in past seasons. Someone will say they want to make a big move, but they proceed to get out the #2 in a big alliance. Why not go at the head?
I think the biggest indication of how good Rob is at manipulating was how he handled Danni in episode 1. Somehow he was able to call someone out for mentioning his name while making the other person feel completely embarrassed about it, making that person also his ally afterwards, and all of this resulted in his name being completely being forgotten.

On the one hand, it is odd his name has barely been brought up. On the other, he's the type of player where you get one, maybe two, shots at getting him out and you likely need consensus to do it. I know the previews make it look like Adam decides to go after him next week, but I think the person on that tribe right now that will know when to strike is Jeremy. But knowing when to strike is half the battle. Will he have the sway to convince enough people it's time to strike? Who knows.
I also think the Extinction Island thing is to Rob's advantage a little. They all know how good he is at immunity challenges, so even if he's voted out, there's likely a fear he'll get himself back in the game.
On another note, I may be divorced by the end of the season if I keep making comments about Parvati while we're watching.

I haven't watched the second episode yet, but this season is already 1000 times better than last season. I didn't even finish watching that garbage.
I can't believe it took a tribe full of winners to finally realize you need to vote couples out immediately. I was afraid that they were going to be dumb too, but alas they weren't.

Yeah he’s in a tough spot because he was assumed to be part of the poker alliance. And his main ally was voted off first. Not sure how he gets the numbers.

This is a good point.

Like I said, I found Kim’s idol hiding place extremely intriguing

It was probably at least somewhat due to editing, but he seemed content last night to lay low. I don't even remember him saying anything at tribal, though I'm sure he did and it was just edited out. My cousin knows a guy that was on Survivor who said most tribals go on for over an hour and are heavily edited.

I’ll admit that I backed up the DVR checking for camel-toe!
I have to guess that they are going to mix up the tribes pretty quick to attempt to protect a few players.

I really would enjoy sandra getting voted out. Ben is crazy paranoid.
Hell, they all are and it’s only going to get worse which is great for us

Robb really looked foolish in that immunity challenge. Sandra straight up slaughtered him. Yeah. His demand for everyone to empty their bags had the feel of a mob boss. It would have pissed me off as a tribe member. I hope they call him out for that and give him the boot.

Might have pissed them off but they all did it. I don't see him being around much longer but you never know.

They didn't have a choice due to his putting them all on the spot. It was really arrogant and brazen, and if I had been allied with him before, that would have done it for me.

If they wouldn't have, what would've happened? I agree with you though, I would go after him next. Foolish move on his part.

That was my thinking, and probably exactly what Rob thought. As long as one or two people dumped their bags, the pressure on every one else to do the same would have been immense. Cause if you don't, it makes people suspicious of you.
But I also agree it was a dangerous move, and shows how in control of the tribe he is. Jeremy I'm sure made a mental note of it. Adam and Denise as well since they have the 2 pieces of the idol. I think that's why the previews showed Adam rallying folks to get Rob out.
Plus, it didn't even accomplish what he wanted it to because there are 2 people with idols and they were able to hide them undetected.

I agree that it was a little brash, but it was shocking just how quickly his alliance agreed to do it. I really like Yul and Wendell is one of my favorites from past seasons.
Does anyone else wonder if Rob sticks around because they are worried if they send him to Extinction Island, he and Amber can team up and control portions of the game from over there? I think that might keep him around a little longer.

I would have called Rob out after he emptied his bag. I would have suggested to the tribe, we all know now that Rob doesn't have an idol, let's vote him out.

I think the opposite. They now know Amber is on Extinction so if they send him, only one will have a chance to get back in the game. If they don't send him, and she wins the challenge to get back in the game, they'll be a force to be reckoned with.

This is the key.
That’s what proves to me it wasn’t some boss move he planned out. He just blurted it out and once everyone started going along with it he was just as flustered as the rest of them, or he would have been watching them like a hawk.
