ETA: Message boards don't like Chris Evans, but he nails Cap-as an avid reader of Cap, he is Captain America. As far as bland, yeah Cap doesn't get the one liners that Stark,Peter Parker or Wolverine get, but he is the voice of the MCU.
Evans when he was Human Torch gave a great one liner in the terrible FF1:

It was my first imax and imax 3D movie. OMG, my dick was hard the entire time. Never had so much fun at a movie theater. Scarlett Johansson's arse in 3D...

You have made up your mind to be contrary regarding this movie. It's getting the attention that you need. But you are hating on this movie because you have made up your mind to be different. Grats bro, your taste in movies is far more advanced that us simpletons.

You do realize that that was the exact same actor right and that his CA body was his real one and the puny weakling body was the cgi one right?
CA isn't suppose to be the jokester. He comes from a different era and is still getting use to the present day. However, he's the only one with combat experience down on a battefield and gained it during the biggest war in human history.

He didn't attack her because she promised they just wanted him for his gamma radiation knowledge, not his Hulkness. That's why he didn't go Hulk on her during their first meaning. Plus she was hot.

He's the kind of guy that if a movie doesn't get nominated for at least 3 Oscars and has at least one combat or one explosion in it, it's beneath him and only a bunch of rabid baboons would seriously enjoy such filth.

thor has more "battlefield" experience than captain america, and iron man has more experience fighting super villains

why did he wait to hulk up until they were attacked and he got angry (from the attack)?
why was he mad at BW when the attack is what triggered the hulk? why wasn't he out looking for who attacked him?

Good lord, Y'all lay off SFP. He didn't say anything bad about the movie. he just said he thought the hype was a little too much.
I'll admit that I had no desire to see this movie, because the hype was so big for it, that it could only be a let down. I was wrong and am glad I was, but I can understand where he is coming from.
The only argument he got in on here was about Hulk's reasoning. He doesn't understand it. That's fine. I can see where he'd be confused on that, especially if he's never really read the Hulk comics.

Every damn movie has plotholes. Every single one. Hell Citizen Kane - widely considered to be the greatest film of all-time - starts out with the biggest plothole and film history.
Besides, most of the shite you are bitching about is because you were too wrapped up and your preconceived notion of the film to use any sort of critical thinking and understanding of the film. This is clear when you said that Hulk should have told Thor to leave him alone and he just had beef with BW. Do you really not understand why Thor wouldn't just let him rip her apart and destroy the ship in the process? Really? Avengers wasn't an AMAZING movie, it was a really badass summer action flick. The weak dialouge and plot didn't allow it to reach out of the comic book genre; and that's ok because Avengers was true to its source material.
