One Piece and Wit Studio’s Adaptation

Not reporting anything that hasn’t been out for a while, but curious of the Board’s thoughts on One Piece being adapted by Wit Studio (the name changing ever so slightly to “The One Piece”).
I’m looking forward to it.
In my opinion, One Piece is one of the great animes ever made; however, it suffers from DBZ syndrome: tons and tons of filler, particularly early on. That said, the bones and meat of the story are incredible and, for those (like me), who have invested in the show for all 1100+ episodes, the payoffs have been great and the plot, emotional beats, humor, and, most importantly, characters, all resonate with confidence in their making and an understanding of how they do or can fit into the overall narrative.
My hope is that Wit, the same studio that did Attack on Titan, Vinland Saga and Spy Family, can compress and reshape what has to be one of the longest running animes ever (it started in 1999) into something that is more digestible and enjoyable, cutting out bullshite like the Foxy Pirates.
As I understand it, they will be starting the series at the beginning, but instead of adapting one chapter of the manga per episode, the will adapt 2-4 chapters per episode.
I’m actually fricking pumped because if the quality of the animation is as good as AoT and the current iteration of One Piece that Toei is doing following the Wano arc, it’s gonna be a joy to watch.

I have no interest in One Piece, personally, but Wit is one of the best studios in the business and I'm sure it is in great hands.
