There are alot of people in this thread who are either hippies, pansies, or know nothing about Star Trek if they think anyone is above Kirk.

That is not true if you happen to be Kirk.

I'm not anti-Kirk in any way, especially since he's second on my list, I just happen to like the character of Sisko more. More depth, due to his fleshed-out background, i.e. Wolf 359 and being the Emissary...

I like Deep Space 9 more than most people but not because of Aaron Brooks. He actually took a page from the William Shatner school of overacting minus all the hot tail.

Kirk for all the tail he hit.

Picard

Aaron Brooks minus the sometimes squeaky voice when he was upset which was all the time.

Archer

Janeway

A) why didn't you use his character's name and B) the only reason I point out A is bc you lose 5 nerd points for getting the actors name wrong. It's Avery

James Kirk for the win.
I always looked upon Sisko as more of a commander /magistrate than a starship captain. Just my .02.

Kirk
Picard

Sisko

Archer

Janeway

Never really liked Deep Space 9 until Worf came aboard and they actually had a war. Sisko's voice was so monotone it made me want to go to sleep.

Given: Kirk is #1

Cisko shouldn't even be considered. He was captain on a non-moving boring ship. How often did he even say "Let's put her into warp"? And Janeway shouldn't count either, because, let's face it, she's a woman stuck in a time where some super short-sighted inventive buffoon made the kitchen obsolete.

The only two that should be under discussion are Picard and Archer and that is just to see who is second and third behind Kirk.

First, spell his name right. Second, he got a ship that was the only human ship that could cloak and it was the only warship in the fleet. He was captain of a ship, captain of a base, and part time manipulating alien.

Don't forget he was the Bajoran Jesus Christ...add in being the architect of the Federation victory over the Dominion and that's a pretty darn good resume
