That is an odd list:

Barton Fink
Assassination of Jesse James
Point Break
Bottle Rocket
Sin City
Matrix Revolutions

I just re-watched Sin City for the first time in a long time a few weeks ago, and I was taken aback by how bad it is. I used to love that movie, but it did not hold up well for me.

Well, outside of anything to do with Marv. Because Marv is still awesome.

But damn the Matrix universe had such possibilities to get lost in the utter shitshow that was those last two movies. I don't know that I've ever been more disappointed by a conclusion.

I had to double check to see if I typed this or not?

i haven't seen barton fink or bottle rocket but i will say this, assassination of jesse james has got to be one of the most underrated movies of all time. it's in my all time top 10. it's not your traditional shoot em up action packed western however.

point break is a great action flick, better than sin city or matrix.

do yourself a favor, watch jesse james.

Barton Fink is clear #1

And I loved Sin City...

But it's not as fun as Point Break.

Point Break gets a bad rap - it's so well done in what it sets out to be - call it cheese - but that stupid movie takes the time for the characters to mesh. One of the few action movies where they really took a long time with the set-up.

Matrix, whatever....

Jesse James is good - just not something I would ever watch again.

Rank these movies

Barton Fink - Best film about the creative process, and fantastic film outside of that. The dialog and characters are insanely good.

AJJCRF - Beautiful film. A meditation more than anything, but a fantastic experience. Better in HD.

Point Break - A Top 20 action film all-time. Johnny Utah. Accept no substitutes.

Bottle Rocket - Lots of fun.

Sin City - Nothing wrong with it. It is what it is. Good movie, kind of long in the tooth though.

Matrix Revolutions - I like it more than some, but it isn't a good movie. Worth a watch to finish up the series.
