Why? It's a really solid movie IMO.

I remember being hyped up about it when it came out, but nobody I knew really had ever heard about it. I'm one of the few people I know of who actually saw it in theaters. I went with a buddy of mine, and we loved it.

when I saw the preview i thought it was for shite. Then my wife was watching it on the tube one Saturday. I was floored at how much I enjoyed it.

The whole setting was new and interesting. shite I need to go and rent it again

I think it was an alright movie, but it always bothered me how dragons basically dominated the world's military. The fricking dragons would have gotten their asses handed to them.

I think it was just the fact that they multiplied so damn quickly. Like a zombie apocolypse, the military just got overrun.

This movie has a great quote in it from M.Mc.

"Envy the country that has heroes. Pity the one that needs them."

Definitely one of my favorite M.Mc. roles along with "A Time to Kill"

how exactly is the military going to handle them? Fast as hell, can stop and turn on a dime, and has projectile napalm? It explains it in the movie, they eat ash. So if you bomb them, you are creating food for them. It also says for everyone they killed 15 took it's place or something like that. So you put fighter jets and pilots up agaisnt them, for every jet that goes down it kills 3 dragons. We still lose.

One thing that bothered me was the complicated arse way the dragon-slayers took one down. It took one chopper, 2 jumpers, and 3 guys on the ground, all working in perfect sycronization. The movie said there were millions of dragons. What happened if while they were taking one down, 1 or more showed up? They'd be fricked.

At that point they were starving, a lot were dead. But yes, if another had showed up they would have been screwed.

Matt Mc is actually pretty good in it, he's much better playing a dark off-the-wall character than this crap he's been doing in these romantic comedies

Agreed......see Frailty for another example.
