Lawyer Ted passed away years ago. Not same without him.

He was perfect for the role. Cancer sucks

Keep watching because there is a great tribute for our boy Ted.

I wonder if they could go back in time and wish they wouldn't have killed off Lavergne. She was perfect for that role behind the counter as a nurse.

Except for the part where Sacred Heart was torn down and a med school was built in its place, which was like JD's second line in the whole season

Yeah Bill Lawrence said in an interview that the spinoff is not canon and wasn't tied to the show. ABC last minute got scared and forced a name change and called it scrubs season 9.

This is all super confusing because in one of the video clips in this article, Braff and Chalke say in the reboot they have 2 kids (one of which was the one from S9): ‘Scrubs’ Revival: Who’s Back (& Who’s Not); How Many Episodes Judy Reyes, John C. McGinley Are In; How Many Kids J.D. & Elliot, Turk & Carla Have Now

I just figured they meant one kid with Kim and one with Elliot. I'm sure we will see as the season progresses.

A lot of people on Reddit have suggested it would have made more sense for the reboot to open with JD waking up and Season 9 having been just a dream, but it seems like now they're in a better position to do some Season 9 cameos, easter eggs, jokes, etc.

Eh. It’s all about the delivery. I’m generally not an a-hole so I doubt I’ll receive the same criticisms that you have.

I am not an a-hole, I just generally dont account for people's feelings when I post my opinions

Wait

Yeah I guess I am an a-hole

Also if you read my original criticism, it was pretty mild and non-confrontational. Yours was worse than mine.

People just like to hate me. . .and to be fair I do nothing to assuage that inclination. I don't necessarily enjoy it, but I don't NOT enjoy it.

Hell, I downvote myself in these threads. . . come at me

TV Ratings: ‘Survivor 50’ and ‘Scrubs’ Revival Post Solid Starts
Network TV parties like it’s 2002.

The debut episode pulled in 4.41 million viewers and a 0.66 rating in the 18-49 demographic; the latter is the best same-day mark for any network comedy in its regular time period so far this season

Yeah, expecting the amount of viewers it pulled in it's original run was unrealistic.

Nothing gets those type of numbers in the Youtube/Streaming era.

~4.5 is fantastic for a sitcom

Yeah. It only got 700k less viewers than CBS survivor big season 50 premiere. Very impressive.

The main number to look at for renewal and advertisements is the demo.

0.66 (18-49) demo ratings will 100% get it renewed for another season.

The only thing I'm worried about is Dr Cox. I know he's coming back but i don't know in what role. Dr Cox was perfect in episode 1

One of my favorite tv characters ever and a great comedic actor and yes was AWESOME in episode 1 but as much as I hate to admit it you could definitely tell he was aged. Voice seemed inconsistent and I even noticed him limping when walking, really hoping it was just me overthinking it bc without him idk if the show even works

With Cox it can work even without the others who are no longer with us that were so great but without Cox idk

Hell, The Todd was on screen what? 10 seconds over 2 episodes?

He was never on the show much more than that

And I won't post it not to spoil anyone but I now have some suspicions on where they are going with Cox

Loved it. Def felt reminiscent of the earlier seasons.
