Sure brilliant might be overstating it, but most of those shows were at least very solid.

I don't think a show is solid is sufficient criteria to declare that a show is cancelled too soon. After all this is a business and these shows are not developed and broadcast strictly as a public service. If a show can't prove itself as a viable business propostion within 2 years, I can't really say it's too soon. Some shows like Arrested Development and Deadwood were given even more time and still couldn't generate a broad enough appeal to make them profitable. Shows like this don't belong on the list imo.

No. I may buy the dvd set if that's the case.

FWIW, Hulu has the entire FireFly series on line. It doesn't have the follow up movie, Serenity, however.
