I'm Fresh Prince of Bel Air" parody was funny. The other skit (Pete Davidson in hospital) was funny for 30 seconds. The rest of the show was crap but most episodes don't even have one funny bit.

Tina Fey is someone that everyone says is funny but no one really thinks is. I think people lump her in with other comedians and writers to be kind.

Her reign as head writer on SNL and 30 Rock produced some GOAT lvl comedy. And she also wrote Mean Girls and Unbreakable Kimmy Schmidt.
She absolutely knows how to assemble and guide a writing room.

They've had multiple sketches this year poking fun of the left. Not as many as the right, but they have always had a history of going after presidents on both sides.

I didn't like Tucci Gang, it made me cringe (seriously). But I agree that last week was even handed, or close to it, and had several genuinely funny bits. I'm surprised they did the black guy ATM skit
This week, well, was awful. I have no objection to making fun of Trump's doctor, but it's pretty unforgivable to leave all the journalists who were desperate to find something wrong with Trump to the wayside. Why not use all of the ridiculousness on both sides? You have to be blind to not see that there is quality content in how batshit the left has become. Left-leaning humor is fine if it's funny. But this shite is just lame.

The older seasons had a nice mix of politics and pop culture. Nowadays, its 75% politics. When the writers are 99% Liberal, you automatically alienate half your base. The worst thing about Liberal humor is they don't want to offend. Watch the first season of Mad Tv in 1995. SNL today doesn't hold a candle to the edginess of that season.

And, for the record, I support President Trump though I don't think he's perfect.
ETA I'll admit they probably had ten-times as many anti-right skits in that time frame.

The ratings are higher now, only thing that matters in tv are ratings.
I feel like people forgot what made Dana Carvey, Phil Hartman, Darrel Hammond and Will Ferrel famous.
They did go soft the last eight years though.

Wow. A bunch of sensitive snowflake's up in here. BTW, they've made fun of every president through the years. Trump's just an easier target because of the idiotic shite he does and tweets every day. Plus he has to be in the news EVERY DAY. Loves the spotlight.
