Really hope to see a cameo in the post credits of Avengers 2. I imagine people would lose their shite in the theaters
Posted on 2/9/15 at 11:56 pm to Breesus
so the upcoming lineup in the MCU is
2015
05/01 - Avengers: Age of Ultron
07/17 - Ant-Man
2016
05/06 - Captain America: Civil War
11/04 - Doctor Strange
2017
05/05 -Guardians of the Galaxy 2
07/28 -Spider-Man
11/03 -Thor: Ragnork
2018
05/04 - Avengers: Infinity War Part 1
07/06 - Black Panther
11/02 - Captain Marvel
2019
05/03 - Avengers: Infinity War Part 2
07/12 - Inhumans
He'll probably get a post credits bump on Ant Man and then feature heavily in Civil War. I guess it's possible they knew this was coming and might have something ready to shoot for the credits in Ultron but I'd be pretty surprised at that.

It's fun to finally be excited about Spider-Man again.

The ultimate for me would be that all the secrecy around Fantastic Four was to hide that Spider-Man is going to debut there and F4 will be part of the MCU.
Of course thats a bonkers idea but it would be pretty friggin sweet.

This is great news. It seems so odd for him not to be in any of the movies.
Are they going to wait to bust him out for Civil War?

Good I hate Garfield as Spiderman
Garfield was great as Spiderman. Better than fat, short tobey.
TASM2 was just a terrible film
ETA: I'd like Marvel to get Garfield to play Captain Britain or Nova(Dick Ryder).

Now if only they can get Fox to play ball...
Fantastic 4 is gonna be a historic bomb. Fox will be interested in a similar deal Sony got with Fantastic 4 after that.

Garfield and Stone kept it from being terrible but yeah it wasn't very good

Going to go ahead and start the dicussion about who and what his(and his connected characters) are best connected to:
1) Spider-Man with DD,Punisher and Kingpin is got to be at the top of the list.
2) Jessica Jones went to high school with Peter (and wanted to bone him)
3) Cap and Iron Man
4) Nova(sam),Iron Fist and Luke Cage all appear in his current cartoon
5) Ben Ulrich (DD side character) works at The Daily Bugle
6) Norman Osborn and Dark Reign
7)Doc Ock and Thunderbolts(a movie GoTG director James Gunn wants to make), relationship with Justin Hammer (Ultimate Marvel)
8)Black Cat and Silver Sable get around a little bit.
ETA: This is making the rounds about how the negotiations went down:

I thought it had already been stated that if Marvel every worked out the deal with Sony (which appears to have happened), that Spidey would likely only appear in a cameo roll or post-credits roll in the Civil War movie. I hope to hell that isn't the case. Spidey needs to have a bigger role than that in Civil War.

Yey, the death of Hipster Spiderman is finally here. TASM2 can not rot in eternal hell.

Headlines aren't being made for a credits cameo brutha.

I don't get the Garfield naysayers. I'm an avid Spiderman fan, and I believe he has been absolutely fantastic for the franchise.
No way they could go in a different direction now. He IS Spiderman.
