I’m on a Werewolf kick, just finished this one. I can’t believe I’ve never heard of this movie before—Jack Nicholson and Michelle Pfeiffer were great. She is the epitome of sex appeal. I thought it was just Catwoman, but damn.
James Spader makes you want to kick his teeth in the entire movie.
The effects leave a little to be desired but the story and performances make up for it imo.

I heard the werewolf aspect of this was very underwhelming

Yeah that’s my main gripe about it. Definitely not like Bad Moon or the scary werewolves, more Wolfman.

IIRC, he didn't even fully transform til the last scene in the movie.

IIRC I was really pumped about this one back in the day and borderline hated it.

Well clearly I was being serious and not just being a smartass on a message board. But let’s go ahead and carry shite over to other boards I guess.

Much better Werewolf movies out there. This one is not even top ten. Dog Soldiers and Brotherhood of the Wolf if you are want something out of the mainstream. American Werewolf in London is the GOAT.

I first watched that at a dollar theater when I was like ten years old. They just took mine and my brother's dollar and let us in, nevermind the R rating. No parent with us. Oh sure, it probably had some sort of traumatic effect on my young mind, but who cares? Should an adolescent really be exposed to werewolves and titties? I say yes. We all read Stephen King novels at way too young of an age back then anyway. Speaking of which, Silver Bullet is another great werewolf movie.
