Malcolm X brah. Should've gotten an Oscar for that.

Hoo Ha!
Aren't the numbers skewed by season ticket holders that don't attend? Do we still use that fuzzy math to count?

It defined the 70s for me. This one and Boston's first. Just wow. We'll never see that again. I know they were both from the second half of the decade but to me that is the defining era since i was too young in the early part and it sounded more like a grimy continuation of the sixties.
James Brown upstaging the Rolling Stones is pretty famous. Open Culter. Not sure that would count as it sounds like more of a festival with JB right before RS. That's the most famous one i have heard about. I saw Ted Nugent open for Judas Priest and X open for Squeeze. While the headliner was great in both cases, those were probably my favorite openers i have seen.
1. Mississippi Masala: he really made this movie; love that it was shot in Mississippi. Feels so authentic. Great movie.
2. Malcolm X
3. Glory

I never saw Fences. Guess i need to.

Yikes. That means it won't ever go away but treatment could slow the advance and lessen symptoms. God bless and good luck.

not crazy about the Pierce Bronsnon ones

I can't tell you why, but i was never a fan either. Maybe it was the writing or the fact that Brosnan started about a decade too late.
I guess they got pretty pissed off over being humiliated in Yemen by the Houthis.

Controversial pick, From Russia with Love might be my favorite.

Not controversial. I would rank it as my favorite.
I hope someone saved the D.E.N.N.I.S. System Mike Bianco meme. Sounds like we are going to need it.

Craig movies took all of the swagger, attitude, humor, and fun out of the movies. They might as well have been Mission Impossible or their own thing. The end of the Craig era w/ the woke bullshite killed the franchise. I don't care if they ever reboot the series.
Screw you and Iran. This is nothing like dumbass Bush and Cheney's invasion of Iraq.

Hyperion was excellent. Highly recommend but it's a long four book series.
1987
R.E.M. Untitled
Prince Sign O the Times
Jane's Addiction Jane Says
Tracy Chapman Fast Car
The Waterboys We Will Not Be Lovers

Allies? That’s why the US founded it

Allies as long as Biden admin. is pumping billions into Ukraine and propping up their defense. We founded it to combat the Soviet Union, which was dissolved over 35 years ago. Europe no longer respects democratic ideals. Let their undemocratic, anti-free speech,anti-Christian ideology stand on its own.

That is the very definition of sucks. It's a subjective term.
I think Tanner may be a worse AD than Ross Bjork who somehow got hired at OSU. I think he raises money only and does not make any decisions on the athletic programs. USC needs to fire Tanner now or hope he gets lured away to Texas A&M or OSU.

Vampire Weekend are indy and critic darlings whose first record sold over a million copies in the US alone. Great band though.

My list would be:

Ron Gallo
Kurt Vile
John Martyn
Bill Callahan/Smog
S.G. Goodman
Ty Segall
Solid Space (only one great album that was only in cassette form for a long time)
Anders Osborne
Soul Coughing (does this count? they were kind of popular in the '90s)
Grant Lee Buffalo
