Just finished it. Overall great season and I enjoyed it more than S2. My only complaint was Erica was a tad much but she and Dustin did have some good exchanges.
Steve "The Hair" Harrington is easily my favorite character.
Also people complaining early on in the thread. Do yall wake up looking for things to be mad about? Take that shite to the political board.
Hop reading that letter to Eleven at the end and the music. Hit me right in the feels.

YOu could tell the directors wanted to shoe horn the three kids singing in the show. They all previously worked together in theater.

Lets say Hop got into the upside down before the explosion...
Could we see a twin peaks: the return-esque plot where he eventually emerges as a mind-flayed Hopper (Whether or not thats him in captivity)? Sort of like good cooper/bad cooper and the black lodge. The Russian phrase “tread lightly, silver cat china etc” reminded me of those creepy twin peaks dugpa men from the dessert reciting that spooky line over the radio. If you go back to season 2, when we first meet Murray his first hypothesis about Barb is that Russian spies are in Hawkins, and that a Russian girl (El) was seen fricking up that supermarket. So maybe Russia has been tied into this longer than we know.
I’ve read the theories about Brenner, and it makes sense from the standpoint of Russia having as much knowledge of the upside down as they do, and that knowledge coming from him, but I cannot get past that demogorgon fricking him up. He’s dead.
It’s gotta be Hop

Can my man Steve get a break?
Gets dumped forWeirdo Jonathan after actually becoming a good guy
Can’t get into college
Working at Scoops ahoy
She chick he’s flirting with all season is a lesbian.
He gets the shite beaten out of him again.

Will being on the outside and fighting the changes of life was very interesting to me.
I thought this was great too. I was pretty worried that the show would struggle as the kids got older, since their innocence is part of what made season 1 so much fun. I'd say overall, I enjoyed this season as much as season 1, but for different reasons. Season 1 had way more of the innocent, adventurous goonies vibe, while season 3 was much darker and handled the adolescent/early teen drama really well.
I really have no complaints about season 3, and lol at all the snowflakes trying to find reasons to complain about the non-existing politics and social agenda of the show. Classic TD.
Also, I know this show is filled with 80s homages, but did anyone else get reminded of Empire Strikes Back when Hopper was fighting the Russian Terminator in the final episode by the machine? There was one shot in particular that immediately made me think of Luke fighting Vader.

The ending of this season made me feel how the ending of Game of Thrones should have.

Really hope my boy Steve flips that (wannabe) scissorer back to solids.
Wait for her to get a girlfriend, then flip them both.

I thought they didn’t delve into it enough. Wills overreaction and destruction of the clubhouse felt kinda forced

Joyce has it worse. Son kidnapped. Boyfriend dies. Future boyfriend seemingly dies.

Is Erica the Scrappy Doo of Stranger Things? I fricking hated her.
Posted on 7/7/19 at 8:41 pm to JabarkusRussell
She got her son back. And I bet hopper is still alive.

Season two foreshadowed the Mind Flayer returning, Billy and Mrs. Wheeler, the Byers moving, etc. Season 3 set up The Demagorgan, Russians, the American.

Seems like they left it open for him to be back. S4 should be intriguing if they hopefully find a new villain instead of the same old thing

And even in a show where most of the dudes are morons and all of the girls are geniuses, the actual snowflakes still bitched about Hopper's toxic masculinity.

My only issue with the lesbian character is that she spends 7 episodes hardcore flirting with Steve

Yikes melting over a mediocre Netflix show lol
