What’s his names little sister is ruining season 3. Talk about people needing to die.

I figured one of Hopper, Joyce, or Brother Beyers were going to die as they needed one lead to bite it for suspense. It's also a way to focus on the kids in later seasons who the show is really about.

I saw where David Harbour did an interview and he said the Duffer brothers left it more closed because they hated that they felt like they wrote themselves into a corner with S2 and bits of S3
How did they write themselves into a corner?

No way hoppers really dead imo.
Kinda lame that the black little sister had a more significant role than either

I think he'll be back but not late into season 4 as a end of episode twist. I thought the Duffer Bros. said thaf we'd meet more of 11's "siblings" this season. Also, Back to the Future opened in August 85 not July.

Having an emotional loss really helped season 3. Even if Hopper comes back in season 4, atm, Hopper is dead. And they scored emotional points with fans. Think The Empire Strikes Back with Han Solo. I feel like this is what the Duffer Bros are going for.

Way too much crying from 11 in the last few episodes just instant skips. Last 4 episodes really made up for the first 4. Just way too long and not enough to keep the viewer engaged

I was so expecting a Dawn of the Dead type ending in the final episode where tons of Demogorgons swarmed the mall like the zombies.

Why did people dislike season 2?

They seem to foreshadow Thanksgiving/Christmas when the kids were talking at the end.
Unless they film fast they'd have to have a longer gap to explain the growth of the actors. They have grown even more since filming ended. The black kid has a mustache in one video I saw. Five months from July to December is too short a span to explain that growth.

What age are they supposed to be this season.

No idea where s4 could go. It’s literally been the same thing 3 seasons. No way they can shite out s4 with the same direction the first 3 were headed

Season 4 could have the entire USA affected by the Upside Down and not just Hawkins. I still can't believe no one noticed a giant monster running around town except the leads.

He had a fun streak through the 90s. The last thing I remembered him in was Tomcats which was 2003 or around.
But check out the Frighteners and Starship Troopers.

Storyline nobody in here is talking about is the differences that friends go through as they got maturity and liking girls and stuff at different times.
Will being on the outside and fighting the changes of life was very interesting to me.

People seeing political parallels
Give me a fricking break.
Anyway, I really enjoyed it, especially the 4th of July drop. Told myself i was gonna do an episode a day but went right thru it. I thought s3 was gonna be the last but apparently there will be a 4.
You gotta wonder who “The American” is. I’ve seen y’all mention Hopper and Brenner, the only other 2 come to mind are possibly the mayor dude (if they intercepted him before his jail sentence)or Murray (crazy off the cuff freelance journalist who had Alexi’s model of their technology...maybe they caught up to him after things settled down). Also, how did Russia acquire a demogorgon? When Steve is on truth serum and blurts out Dustin’s name did they ransack his mom’s house and find that one he had stashed at the end of s2? Or did one just pop out on their end. Also wonder what happens to Russia for their involvement.
For people that love to scrutinize every little detail, how about Russia building an underground fortress in America’s heartland during the height of the cold war tensions?
Just the construction of that elevator shaft would’ve taken ages, along with the materials needed.
The modern lingo (“That’s the facts”), overforced humor at times, and just the same old story (monster chasing kids) was what it was, but I still enjoyed it. The singalong with Suzie gave me anxiety. I liked Murray being involved, guy was hilarious. I do wish Dustin had been closer to the rest of the group but him/Steve together is always good humor. Steve beat the shite out of that Russian soldier
One of my favorite parts was Will asking if they knew what it felt like to drop from a roller coaster. Everyone: yea. 11: No.
I guess if there is a s4 you have to think Hop survived. I can buy him going into the upside down as he’s already been in there. Not sure how the russians would’ve escaped with him. When he shot the Russian at the carnival you knew he fricked up not shooting him in the head/face. (Also nice toss of the gun there, Joyce
)
I kept wondering if Barb was part of Billy’s zombie army.

Suzie’s song was amazing.
Hopper being The American at the end seems too obvious. I do believe he survived though.
The boys were going to be high school freshmen in the fall of ‘85. What is interesting they said they moved 3 months later which means they were heading out in October of 85. Kind of ridiculous to move once the school year already started but whatever.
They’ll probably do Christmas ‘86 next. Really hope my boy Steve flips that (wannabe) scissorer back to solids.
Glad that Murray had more of a role this season. Alexis was legit too.
All Billy wanted was to work out, drive his Trans Am and pound some MILF arse. Good ole American boy right there.
Depowered Eleven is both interesting and not. On the one hand, the only reason why she was interesting in the first place was her baby Jean Grey powers. Then again, they only really put her on screen to use her powers, so maybe they’ll humanize her further since she isn’t a walking weapon.
One random thing. When Eleven and Max are having their mall day, the girl whose Orange Julius cup explodes everywhere is the same girl who denied my boy Dustin a dance last season.
Wonder what will become of the Russian base under the mall. Reiser’s crew going to take over? They going to burn it all down? Where did the Byers and Eleven move to? What’s Nancy Drew going to do next? Are we going to see less of Erica who was useful for one scene and a nuisance outside of that? Will Dusty bun get to see Suzie poo next season? What other great 80s actors will make an appearance? ‘86 had Top Gun, The Golden Child, Little Shop of Horrors, Ferris Bueller’s Day Off, Pretty in Pink, Short Circuit, and Howard the Duck they can reference.
Anyways, can’t wait for Season 4

All they ever have to do is throw a few 80s classics in the background but they really nailed the soundtrack this season.
