I remember when this all started slow. Everybody was calling us delusional. I even thought some people were being a little delusional expecting a number one class. But it is far better than anything I could’ve possibly imagined.

Also, I can imagine the atmosphere here is 1) more fun, 2) more exciting, 3) more hardware, 4) a coach that is actually running things.
The people running things over there are just trying to copy what Lane has done. And I can guarantee you m, Golding is making no roster decisions, other than a little on defense. He’s just a plug n play guy. I think he’ll be gone after next season and they’re try to get someone elite. Then fail and get someone mediocre

There’s just not a lot of Longstreet film out there, so I’m very excited to see him in the spring. Leavitt, there’s plenty of film. Not sure he’ll be ready for spring.

They've had good NIL support. He's spending it on high schoolers. They also might have a legit cost of living adjustment issue.
If Riley continues to have decent seasons, or maybe makes a playoff, and Texas Tech continues to teeter falling apart against great teams, I do see that as a choice for them. Not saying it’s a guarantee obviously.
Regardless, there have been rumblings about Riley not being happy. It’s not hard for that kind of stuff to trickle down to the players. Especially when your coach’s name is all over job openings. An issue that we may have to deal with as well at some point.
