The shite storm that would occur if Matson sent Rome and Ken the pic that Shiv took of them on the plane..... How would she justify or explain that? She's an idiot. I really hope she gets fricked over in the end. But she'll still be mega-rich either way so how fricked over can she really be..

I don’t know if the story was made up completely or not but the point was the same. He offered dirt on himself in exchange for Shiv trusting him. He knows her brothers have no interest in selling the company they see as their birthright so he’s already playing big brother to try to get ahead of the vote.

I went through executive management training some years ago in DC.
One speaker said when dealing with a dysfunctional team or group of stakeholders, and you need to right the ship quickly, if all else fails...
The fastest way to build trust was to ask for help. It exploits people's natural inclination of wanting to provide support through showing vulnerability.
Kind of ironic seeing the Swede do that.

exactly, plus Swedes are typically pretty tight lipped about personal matters. So Matsson being so open about a very sensitive situation with a stranger from the other side of the table screams trojan horse
