I guess they didn't have an extra 28 days between two seasons to film so they just cut the gameplay time.
Might get better footage though.

I'm not a fan of constant tribe shifts.
Me either
Will see how the next few episodes go, could be a really good season.

Tribe swaps are usually prompted by one tribe being terrible and being decimated by tribal councils. If the green and yellow team keep losing, we may see one early. That green team seems pretty solid though and just had bad luck with a few puzzle pieces not making it out of the bag. Sucks they sent the cutest girl on the season home over it, but that's the way it goes.

Yeah, if they both lose next time, I can definitely see that happening.

I wonder if they are going to keep having it as double eliminations or if that was a first tribal surprise to get things rolling.

That could be the only one. Already down to 16. Now, they will have to get rid of them a little faster with the shorter duration.

I love the addition of the last chance dice thing.
The show can get a little boring when it's 6-4 at the merge and we know exactly how the next 4 votes are going to go no matter how they try to disguise the vote.
This is a new wrench that will (hopefully) mess up a plan or two.

I am interested to see that happen.
I was pretty surprised at the taking of the losing teams flints. Another new wrinkle.

I think the last chance dice is going to amount to a lot of nothing, but I appreciate the threat of it always being there.
For instance, if it is 6-4 in a merge that side with 4 can ALL roll the dice and there's a 2/3 chance than one of them gets the safety, but then that would also have to be the person that's targeted for it to matter.
It would be great if it's used as a last ditch effort by one person singled out and they happen to get the safety, but the odds are low.

It'll only be interesting if someone that is the target uses it, and pulls the "Safe" scroll. But the threat of someone using it is always there, so that will play into the psychology of people's strategies.
I can's really see a scenario where 6 people all use it just to reduce a target's chances of getting it. They can only use it once, and most will want it for themselves.

But then those 6 all lose their votes, and the one person could potentially vote their way and get one of the 6 out.

My guess on how it's going to play out... you're going to have an obvious target where it's the group against one person after the merge, or potentially even a 4-1 or 5-1 scenario in the next tribal.
The loner is going to try their last chance die, but by doing so they lose their vote, so someone from the majority is going to go rogue and cast a single vote on a big threat so that IF the target does pick the safe scroll it's a total blindside on a threat.
Chances are though it doesn't work and there's a rogue vote out there that causes a rift.

A great man once said, "Everything woke turns to shite."
Survivor went full woke last night. I'm done after 20 years. It's a shame because I think the gameplay will be great this season.
I actually gave them the benefit of the doubt when they first brought up the "guys" bullshite. And Probst looked at the camera and said something like "there we discussed it" so it sounded like it may have been the producers doings.
Then he flips and agrees with the chode who is married to a mentally ill woman. We can't even say the word "guys" anymore without offending a guy married to woman who thinks she is a guy. Clown world.
Turned it off right then. I hope Survivor's viewership tanks.

I'm going to keep watching because the cast is setting up well for some good gameplay, but I'm also hoping that he's the next person out.

And that 1 minute will hopefully be the only minute in the season where they have to address that stuff at all. If one minute of cringe "exhausts" you like someone on here said, maybe you're the snowflake

I concur.
You just know CBS was shocked no one jumped on the first opportunity to take issue with the “come on in guys” question. When they gave the guy the floor to raise the objection at the immunity challenge, that sounded like a scripted objection that CBS fed him. And since when did one vote overrule the vote of 17 others?
Total “Jump the Shark” moment for Survivor. I’m out.

If Danny McCray survived Mallvetto he should dominate this

Did the others actually voice a vote, other than the gay girl(sorry, forgot her name)? Most seemed to not really care. This guy objected. It's silly, but Jeff wants to not offend the players on HIS show.

I know it's ridiculous, but I'll probably be alert for Jeff to say guys in some other context during the show and nobody will even notice.
