Robbie not being some criminal mastermind makes it more believable and realistic imo. We see too many under the radar geniuses in tv/movies today. Robbie is a guy whose life is withering beneath his feet and he’s desperate which adds tension to everything.

Yea I’m wondering if Jayson seemingly survives this upcoming shootout, kills the old Dark Hearts dude who has been protecting him but then gets taken out at the very end, almost like a The Departed thing where thinks he gets away and then gets whacked.
Then, once he and the old Dark Hearts dude are dead, Maeve’s secret involvement is basically silenced. Sure some may wonder bc of the Robby connection, but I feel like they’re not gonna seek her out to punish her since the kid is fine. And I doubt the FBI would press any charges on her.
I also feel like Tom has to survive the shootout, because we have to get the sentencing scene, right?
This show is so epic.

His big roles are coming.
Just his last 5 years catalog is getting better and better. Ozark, Love and Death, Outer Range, and now this. No more one episode of Chicago PD type stuff for him anymore. I'd have a hard time seeing people watching this show and not thinking "yea we need this guy in our movie/show."

This show has been slow as hell the last 2 episodes. I had high hopes being that mare of east town is one my favorite shows ever but it’s not anywhere close to that.

Task is an amazing series, imo. I'm enjoying every minute of it. Mare of Easttown is perfection.

this has been my favorite series on HBO in a solid year or two off the top of my head. I was getting pretty close to cutting my script, feels like they have been in a creative drought being whored around

That was REALLY REALLY good. Gonna have to do a re-watch.
They have ALOT to wrap up next week. Hopefully it'll be a couple hours long...

Robbie knew he was done for, but he made sure Maeve and the kids were take care of. Great episode. This series has way exceeded my expectations going in.
