Ruffalo looks like an out of shape teacher, not an fbi task force leader

Watched last night.

Don't know what the "slow episode" comments are about. There were some crazy good scenes in that episode. That final trap house robbery was insane. I legit as nervous

Great first episode.

Taking the kid feels like a really bad idea. Like in what way could that possibly turn out good? It seems like just hoping the kid wouldn't be able to identify them would be the better risk. Big mistake taking the masks off.

Honestly, he looks like a struggling dad after a tragedy in the family with a son in prison and a daughter that doesn't like him so he's getting black out drunk at home every night.

He's an older guy that hasn't been in the field in a bit due to the issues with his family (from what we can gather so far). He's also a functional alcoholic and has been on recruitment detail. Not terribly surprising he's out of shape.

To be fair, they're robbing trap houses so I'm not sure their ability to make good choices is at the highest clip.

I don't think Pelphrey's character was even thinking that far ahead when he grabbed him. He was just thinking "I can't kill this kid for seeing me" IMO.

Bill Simmons stated on the latest Rewatchables that I listened to that he thought that so far this show is as good as s1 of True Detective. Pretty high praise, and kind of hard to believe.

Maybe they think they can leverage him. They left peach so the biker gang is going to know exactly who did this and they might need the kid to bargain with.

Ask me how I know the cold ice water dunk in the morning...doesn't really work for a stage 5 hangover.

Every stick-up crew needs a Todd, Peaches was probably their Todd.

Because he’s not a fan of Epstein’s bff? The fact Trump still has this kind of die hard support is fricking nuts.

Enjoyed the first episode, but the premise is very similar to Dope Thief on Apple TV. I’m hoping the plot goes a different direction.

I may have missed this but did they mention if the son in prison and daughter are adopted? I just pieced it together when they showed a family portrait but wasn't sure if they explicitly said it.

If so, I really am wondering what happened that the kid in jail was found guilty with 3rd degree murder.

I missed it if they did. But the mom looked white in the picture and the daughter is at least mixed so maybe so.

Definitely killed the mom.

I could have sworn they said the mom left. I think the adopted son killed their child. There were a family of 5 in the portrait. I may have to do a rewatch since it was pretty late.
