If true, then that's why Disney Star Wars has failed.
He is closer to what an actual Star Wars fan is than anyone else. The fact that Disney doesn't understand that is why they fail.
I didn't even know that guy existed until recently, yet his thoughts on the just about every show is very simliar to mine. I didn't need a youtube guy to recap shows or movied to tell me they were shite. I was capable of doing that with my own brain b/c i'm an actual Star Wars fan.
He isn't only making videos to shite on Star Wars like most youtube content. If Disney were smart, they'd ask him to help write the stories, or at least give his input on it. His 3 million subscribers are probalby more than half who watched this show.
When he likes something Star Wars does, he praises it on his videos. Most of youtube is just bitching no matter what,.and most of a schtick that is to be negative/funny for everything. This guy is just being honest.
You can look at New Rockstars recaps of each episode and see that they were only getting about 200-400k views for The Acolyte, and got less as the season went on.
They were around 800-1M for Ahsoka, and increased as the season went on.
Obi-Wan and Boba-Fett were around 1M
Andor was around 400k
First season of Mandalorian was only around 500-700k, season 2 more around 800k and season 3 more around 600k.
And that guy only does "i'm excited as shite" videos and never talks bad about Star Wars. That's another guy that should be asked his input on new shows.
Those two guys both have over 3M subscribers, and i'd assume share a lot of the same subscribers, but both have a big impact on the shows. Use that to your advantage Disney.

As I said, this director and lead actor cares more about themselves than the product, and it showed.

Marketing for a large corporation like Disney is extremely planned out.
That interview was setup as a part of the media circuit leading up to the show. Those interviews don't just happen on accident.
They knew what they were doing and got roasted for it.

Again he can’t say people don’t like this because it’s “woke” then say it isn’t woke. He also can’t reconcile that the same people who didn’t like this didn’t like Obi Wan, Book of Boba Fett and Ashoka for the same reasons. This fact destroys his premise. All he can do is repeat his canned attacks while failing to support a single accusation with facts.

people didn’t like this because the cast is woke, and the marketing was woke and then the show was pretty vanilla in that regard.
