For people who like Unforgiven, this was one of the original story of the dark nature of western life.
Watching it now for the first time.
Feels shockingly grounded so far. Definitely feels more like a violent drama

“It’s a fine life, ain’t it? Just trying to stay alive. Not really living. Not enjoying anything. Not getting anywhere. Just trying to keep from getting killed.”
A bit of a psychological & complex western

Loved that movie. Jimmy Ringo trying to atone and make up for time away from his wife and kid, but a man with a perpetual target on him for being a fast gun that attracts every punk who thinks they are faster.
I like the fact most of the movie was centered in the saloon where he was holed up trying to get a meeting with his wife who had moved on from their marriage and wanted to remain anonymous in that town.
The ending kind of sucked, but there was poetic justice awaiting Hunt Bromley.
