I assume the writers did this so that way Miguel wouldn't have to take a loss in the tourney in a 1v1, which at this point, I assume the only two that would give him trouble would be Robby and Kwon. But I wonder why they need 6 in the first place if only the captains get to compete in the individual tournaments? What? Is there like a 2v2? A group competition? That sounds chaotic.
Hopefully we get more clarification on the tournament and how each dojo can win/lose. If it were only 6 fighters and only the captains can compete, then Miguel and/or Robby should have split off from Miyagi-Do.

I get why she wanted to fight but her emotions were taking over. It wasn't the time and place. Johnny was even standing up for her behind closed doors.
Instead of staying with people who would support her (including her BF), she runs off to Kreese? Girl please.

I agree with Johnny, although I can see both points of view.
Imo, it was her call to make, and they took that away from her. Nobody else, with the exception of Johnny could put themselves in her shoes.
To her, she will always be an outsider, an understandable feeling for her. Kreese let's her feel how she feels and act how she wants to act. He doesn't try to box her in. She's had a hard life and has always had to fight for everything, who better than. Kreese or Johnny to understand that?

For as much shite Kreese gets (a lot of it is deserved), he does seem to genuinely care for her and Johnny. Not saying he’s not a dickhead that manipulated Robby, Hawk and others. But he was there for her when really no one else was and she even visited his arse while he was in jail. Silver is the real psycho. Kreese and Tory are a lot alike and Kreese wasn’t the one who paid off the ref. That was Silver. I hated that she left but it was needed for story purposes AND it also makes sense. She probably knows she fricked up but Kreese has been more of a father figure than Daniel and Johnny. Johnny has a lot going on with Robby, Miguel, trying to find a job, baby on the way, etc. but Daniel for sure should have reached out to her the way his wife tried to.
Tory also has one of the few genuinely interesting character arcs left in the show. Hers, Robby, Kenny, Kreese and Johnny. Maybe Chozen too. The rest all seem somewhat resolved. Miyagi fighting in the Sekai Taikai is just a bump in the road for Daniel. I don’t believe anything meaningful will come from that. Sam, Miguel and the others will likely go off to college and be just fine so their arcs are all pretty much done.

Going back to season one, Demetri has been the instigator of so much conflict. Outside of the clearly evil cartoon character that is Terry Silver, Demetri is the most clear cut villain of the series.

Hawk is my favorite character. Demetri is easily my most hated. At least Silver was entertaining. Demetri fricking sucks

What’s crazy is that Amanda is seen as the moral compass of the large cast of characters but she ROUTINELY fricks things up and makes them worse
