To me there are 4 TV shows that at least in moden terms are " up there". The Wire, Sopranos, The West Wing and Breaking Bad.

I love all three. LOVE all three. I could live off nothing but those 3 tv shows for the rest of my life. That's probably..60% of what I watch now

Breaking Bad is far and away the most entertaining show I've ever seen. But i would not call it the best. I think as a work of pure, TV cinima, the wire is like Queens Boluvard in entourage, it's a cinematic masterpiece. It's not SUPPOSED to be entertaining. It's supposed to be gritty, hard and deep. It does all three, better than any TV show i've ever seen. The writing, sans season 5 is the best.

I'll say this as well. IF you put a gun to my head and said tell me the best TV show you ever saw.. i'd say breaking bad.

if you cocked that same gun and told me to tell you the best SEASON of any TV show I'd say the wire season 3, and by a country mile. season 3 was so epic. Stringer gets killed, you got brother malzone teaming up with omar, marlo, etc. It's non stop awesomeness. If the wire would have stopped after 3 seasons it would easily be the best TV show of all time

The Wire is like.. Metal Gear Solid. Breaking Bad is like, Call of Duty. The sopranos is like Grand Thief Auto, the west wing is like the last of us. All 4 are great games, but they are diferent games

Rightfully deserved imho, lol.
But Cheese had to go, I would have been glad no matter who put a bullet in him.

I was ok with Bodie, Omar and Wallace falling. I think there was initial WTF during the first watch. But then you see it as part of the game.

Oh, and frick Commish Burrell. Rawls has kind of grown on me though.

Lol he shoulda stayed with his grandma and learned how to be "a country arse n****"

You right. It's all in the game.

I just wished they would have made someone else to take him out. It was tough watching him plead to Bodie and Poot

Agree with this as well. Wallace was too soft, should have stayed with his Granny

Kinda funny that Poot was the only one to make it out of the game.

So I'm sure its been discussed but how come Rawls never got outed? Nothing ever really came of his scenes in the gay bar? Always wondered about this.

There was only that one scene in Season 3 and they never went back to it.

Other than that he lived in the closet.

I'm glad they didn't make a huge deal of it. Wouldn't have really enhanced the whole story.

Well he just never really "got his" when basically everyone else did at one point or another.

That's part of the game though. Assholes at the top always seem to get promoted:

Carcetti gets elected governor after fricking over Baltimore PD and schools
Rawls becomes head of Maryland State Police
Campbell becomes mayor
Valchek becomes commissioner

One thing about season 2 that people have probably forgotten, is that it was about the ports and it was aired two years after 9/11. And even two years after, our ports were a fricking sieve.

Yeah Cheese death was celebrated for sure. And to have Slim do it was like icing on the cake.

Slim was just a laid back dude, was never to high or to low. He just put in work

I'm rewatching season 2 episodes, and I'm surprised petite are dogging it so much. It contains what may be the funniest scene in the show, Omar's testimony against Bird.
