I'm losing my patience with this show. Kate is absolutely insufferable and 2/3 scenes are with her and her negativity to every situation.
I hope Randal goes nuts on her about that comment

2. The other part is the whole feeling isolated from Kate's comment about carrying on a piece of their father.
Randall is feeling rejected as Jack's son because he's adopted as well as William's people because he grew up in a white family.
It will be interesting to see that play out because I imagine it is tough and confusing.
I think maybe Randall runs against that councilman for his seat

That's one of the few chances they have for a poignant, tear jerking story. How they come to terms with guilt. Both feeling like cheating on Jack.
Randall in college would be a fun diversion and meeting his wife. Kate just gets and stays fat and fricks random chubby chasers I am sure.
Young Kevin is horrendously unlikable. They need to get creative with his writing.

Randall wants to please everyone and be like both his fathers, but he's running into walls.
I think Kate's remark was more about passing on something physical from Jack. However, I got the feeling that Kate feels if she has a baby, she will be "delivering" another Jack in some way. She feels she'll get part of Jack back through a baby, which is strange and unhealthy.
Rebecca is obviously worried about Kate taking the risk, but they have a mother/daughter moment when Rebecca gives her one of the injections. So, if Kate dies from this, Rebecca will have a tremendous amount of guilt for yet another reason.
How long is it going to take Kate to figure out Toby stopped his meds or needs a med adjustment if she doesn't realize he stopped all together?
This episode made me think we're going to be going through more long drawn out stories and, if so, there better be some pretty interesting filler.

That, or Beth is going to step up and run. They showed the flashback scene with William telling her that one day it'll be her turn to shine for a reason.

Anyone else bothered a little by Kate’s flashback? First of all, it seemed to serve no purpose (filler). Secondly, many people in The US hav been under anesthesia (including the writers). It is the blackest sleep. No dreams at all.
Kind of a dumb sequence all around IMO.
I like that they are showing Becca and Jack’s backstory that wasn’t all perfect. They had roadblocks and hurdles to overcome just like everyone else.

The jack and Rebecca back story has me hooked.
The Kevin finding out about jacks time in Nam has me hooked.
The kate and Toby story is somewhat growing on me.
The only story I could give 2 shits about is Deja.
