Damn near started balling in front of my GF in episode 9 when William gets so excited that he has the opportunity to reconnect with young Randall again, only to find that Rebecca had left already.

That was rough. Especially since he was a few years clean.

He will certainly win Emmys this & next season. But I have a feeling the big girl that plays Kate will end up with the lion's share once she loses the weight. My wife claims she's read articles citing that the studio has it written into her contract that she has to lose the weight.

Hollywood will "reward" her by the likes of which we've never seen, if she pulls it off.

She's addressed the contract weight loss items in several interviews, and has come out and said that was bull. I'm not sure that I buy it, but just reporting what I've seen.

I'm sure that she's a good actress in her own right, but as I believe I've said in this very thread - the irony isn't lost on me that she's so fricking big, and yet still manages to be one-dimensional. The only thing they haven't done for her is CGI anyone she's looking at into a giant roast turkey, or a hot dog, a la Tex Avery cartoons depicting castaways clinging to life in a raft after a shipwreck.

If there's more to her than her weight, then write her a fricking storyline that's about more than her weight. It's the only annoying thing I can think of in an otherwise perfect show.

I mean, for her own sake, I hope she loses the weight. I can't imagine how mentally hard the scene of her on the plane was when she had to admit to the skinny woman that she bought both seats.

Her life depends on it.

Love the show but can't stand the fat couple. He's annoying as shite so I won't lose sleep if he dies

For her, her storyline just doesn't fit. Plus I'm tired of hearing her bitch about being 500 lbs

Is she really that fat in real life?

Oh yeah. She was on The Talk the other day, and my wife called me in to see that it's not a fat suit on the show, like we were assuming.

She said in a recent interview that she didn't want to lose the weight and loved her curves. I understand loving your curves, but that's a bit much

She's says here that it's legit LINK

quote:

“In our contract, it did state that that would be a part of it, to lose the weight in the trajectory of the character as she comes to find herself,” she says. “That was a win-win for me. Because it’s one thing to try to do it on your own. But as human beings, it’s an ego thing: We’re more likely to do something for someone else.”

I think the K says that she will loose weight to go with the story line (which she admitted), but what many were saying was that there was a clause in the K that stated something along the lines of "You must be a size X by episode Y," which is untrue according to her. So basically she has to loose weight, but there not some set size she has to be at a certain time.

frick our society for telling folks to "own it" when talking about morbid obesity. It's little more than a death sentence.
