I thought it was absolutely amazing. Without a doubt the best movie of the year. I was the whole time.

WOW, I mean I can understand someone liking it but damn.

Have you only seen like Wolverine, Fast and Furious, and Street Fighter: The Legend of Chun Li?

Best movie of the year is for something that has plot and depth to it. TF2 is a film for fun and entertainment. No thinking necessary.

....So you folks who loved transformers, i bet you loved fast and the furious also right???

Pump your brakes dude. Two entirely different things. Transformers is about seeing something from your childhood brought to life on the big screen, kinda like people who were dinosaur nuts as kids couldn't wait to see Jurassic Park(that includes me). Fast and the Furious is for who? People who are wanna be gangstas and drive rice rockets. The comparison you made is laughable.

Why is it just because someone liked this movie they are considered "dumb" compared to someone who didn't like it?

I am trying to figure this out, everyone has different taste in different movies. The movie for me it wasn't the greatest but it was entertaining which is what a movie should be.
Its not a life altering movie, its about keeping you entertained for 2:30 hours and making you spend 8 bucks which it has accomplished for most part.

OK, Megan Fox and the shapechanging decepticon chick were super hot, Prime was the total badass he should have been in the first movie, Sam's parents were funny most of the time. My biggest complaint was the language and the 3 HUGE holes in the plot. I gave it a B+, would totally be an A if not for the language. I got into TF when I was like 5 years old, it's children's toys...they shouldn't say frick or pussy imho fwiw.

Was not better than the first. It was good but stupid to say better than the first. The twin robots were terrible and not funny at all and I forgot useless during the fights

It was alright imo it felt rushed to me. I felt like i was watching Transformers 1.5 instead of 2.

You can hardly ever tell what the hell is going on in the fight scenes unless you have the marines perspective or they slow it down.

The parents were a annoying especially the mom who eats weed (wtf) and gets high and goes crazy.

Megan Fox is fine no doubt, but she is annoying in the movie imo. Every scene where she is looking into the camera it seems like she is posing and shite like on amercias next top model. She is also fake, but hot yes.

The last fight scene really??? I felt like i was watching the first transformers when they were in the desert. Also the big arse transformer could have been alot better.

The hot chick that turned into a transformer was dumb, and the "jive" talking robots were funny but there was no need for them. All the cursing got old.

I never felt like i had time to catch my breath in this movie. From the non stop fights to talking and talking i just wanted them to stfu for a second so we can catch up and take a deep breath.

Just saw it. For me, the above is possibly the only redeeming part of the film. I didn't see the gratuitous swearing as anything but something small children could talk about on the playground. I also thought Skids and Mudflap provided next to no comic relief.

I did like the action, but it felt more like a Terminator movie than the Transformers to me. If I see a transformer getting blasted in the head, I'd like to be able to tell who it was. Most of them (particularly the Decepticons) looked pretty much the same. I think it has to do with Bay's aversion to using coloration on the bad guys.

The entire scene involving Egypt, Jordan and the Bay of Akkaba is a geographic mess. Petra is almost 1000km from the pyramids which lie just outside Cairo. Also, Cairo is nowhere near a sea-shore but is a few hundreds of kilometers inland from the Mediterranean.

who gives a shite? its ACTION! entertainment. It was everything it needed to be. When it was over everybody in the theatre was aplauding. Yeah transformers were a big toy when i was a kid with voltron and such. But i am 33. And it is PG13 for a reason.

Just about every movie i see i can find more holes then swiss cheese, but every now and then there is a special one. To me shawshank redemption, green mile are 2 off the top of my head.

sure some things did not make sense. It did take FOREVER for sam to get the sock full of dust across the desert. the whole matrix thing yada yada. I decieded not to pay attention to all that crap and just enjoy the pure action of it all.

A+

I couldn't agree more. I mentioned this in another thread that I posted in. If you go into this kind of movie expecting top notch acting, flawless, intricate plots and a smooth flow then you're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

This kind of movie is made for shear action entertainment, which it was packed with.

Like dreaux said, I grew up playing with these toys and watching the cartoons as a kid. I loved both of these movies and can't wait for the 3rd.
