Also, somewhere down the line Maggie & Rust meetup at what looks like a diner. Maggie may be interviewed in the '12 timeline as well...

I know the general opinion of the barbie doll scene was that they were reenacting a car accident scene, but watching it again, it looks a lot like a gang rape scene to me...
Also, I wonder why Marty is such a dick to Maggie's father.

FiL looks like he might have money and holds it over Marty's head.

I've been looking at tumblr off and on today. This gif is interesting. Seems like Maggie may have put Marty out of the house because of his sidepiece.

All of that may be relatively inconsequential but can we keep spoilerish stuff out of the thread?

That was my initial thought as well. After watching with subtitles on you can see what the girls were talking about prior to Marty walking in. The positioning of the dolls is still odd though.

Because he's a boner and his daughter is the 2nd hottest chick he is banging.

Thanks
Might be a good idea if a motivated poster wants to start a True Detective evidence thread to consolidate all of the pics/quotes in one thread. Would be quite a chore though.

Found this on wikipedia

The King in Yellow never fully describes the shape and purpose of the Yellow Sign. Nonetheless, "The Repairer of Reputations", one of the stories in the collection, suggests that anyone who possesses, even by accident, a copy of the sign is susceptible to some form of insidious mind control, or possession, by the King in Yellow or one of his heirs. The stories also suggest that the original creator of the sign was not human and possibly came from a strange alternate dimension that contains an ominous and ancient city known as Carcosa.

I was under the impression that Rust was experiencing one of his visions.

I don't believe the doll scene has been posted yet:
Also, I've found a handful of spoilers online....[will not post them here]

Just got to watch episode 2. I was kind of tired so I probably need to watch it again. All I really remember is titties, but I see there's another thread for that.
I can't imagine that some white trash, methed out, hooker has any knowledge of Carcosa on her own.
And what was the drawing on the wall of the church? I'm missing the connection.

I believe they are saying she was involved with that shady arse church and that's probably where she got her knowledge.

What's with the drawing at the end? I was about to fall asleep at that point. Was it shown in the first episode and I'm not recalling it?
They had that knowing look on their faces, but I'm just not placing it?

It is a naked woman with hands bound and blindfolded with antlers. I'm thinking its related.

Ahhhhhh, I couldn't see it very well, looked like a cartoon.
Clearly I need to watch it again when I'm more coherent.
If anyone is bored today:
An Inhabitant of Carcosa- Ambrose Bierce
The King in Yellow- Robert Chambers
Cthulhu Mythos-H.P. Lovecraft
All have a similar theme. Very interesting reading.
