Jesus was in the middle East/Egypt
godrick was in Northern Europe when he met Eric.
and in some ways he reminds me of the Norse God Loki, so maybe Godrick never strayed too far from northern Europe,
remember as a vampire they cant risk sunlight,,so I imagine in the days before flight they had to stay close to home
note the vampire political system is organized by sheriffs,, I bet that a district was defined by the distance of a night safe travel

Something about they all have a certain power and his is flight. Its mentioned in the books a lot more.
