Yikes.

Honestly? I give up a lot of sleep and slug through the day some times. Somehow, even on little sleep, I can still get hyped up and into a show I'm watching.

I binged Westworld last week. Monday night I got home from work at 630. Son was asleep by 8. Wife was asleep by 9. I watched four episodes til midnight. Woke up at 6am the next morning for work.

Six hours of sleep. Not bad considering I binged a show before bed.

I work 7 on 7 off all night shifts at the hospital
So any time it's a slow night, I binge watch multiple episodes of a show while being paid.

1. Weekends. I binge watched stranger things

2. I guess it's not a thing in the southeast but a majority of people in bigger cities do not drive into work. Everyone I work with takes either the subway or train every day. For one of the , that's an hour and a half. You can fit a lot into that hour

I wonder this all the time. I have two kids and by the time we get them to bed, I'm usually too exhausted to even think about dedicating the time for just one hour long episode, much less multiple episodes.

Most of my "binge" viewing is done early Saturday or Sunday morning while everyone is still in bed. To give you an idea though, I started GoT a little over a year ago, and am just barely into Season 3. I may be halfway, but I haven't watched an episode in a month or two.

My routine is to watch on one weeknight, usually Wednesday, and Friday and/or Saturday, from 9 when the kids go to bed to around 12. So I can get in 6-12 episodes a week. That's also my cigar and scotch/beer time so it makes it more an event.

I'm usually on a few different shows, a mix of new and old, so that spreads around. And of course movies get thrown into the mix as well.
Currently Taboo and The Shield.

It's all about routine.

Depends on what you mean by binge. If you mean a single 6-8 hour stint of TV, that's super rare, and I would think super rare for any normal person. I did it with Making a Murderer, because yeah.

If you mean completing a whole season in a couple of weeks:

Weekend Mornings - I still wake up at work hours on the weekends, so there's time there to watch 2-3 hours if I have nothing else to do.
Nights - Another 2 hours or so, depends on the day
Working From Home - I can binge whenever I work from home, which is a good 5 days a month probably.
Travel - If I'm not working or I have a sub 2 hour flight, I can usually get in 2-3 episodes if I start as soon as I board.
Working Out - Usually binge when I work out

Is everyone here in college and just has endless time?

Would be my guess.

I'm not in college and I watch a ton of shows. Then again, I don't let my wife force me to watch Bravo or E!. We generally have the same tastes, but if she feels like numbing out to some Real Housewives, I go into the other room and watch something else. It's a wonderful arrangement. I value my occasional time in the other room. I think if I were forced into watching that BS each night I'd end up drinking a bottle of bleach.

I own my own company so quitting it would be detrimental to 30 employees. So that's out of the question.

Divorcing my wife would mean losing my daughter for 50% of the time AND losing 50% of my money. That's out of the question.

Now what?

Like you cant watch one episode before bed or whatever

I think this is the answer and i've tried this before but I lose interest since it takes me so long to watch a season.

Best answer in the thread. If I can get 6-12 episodes a week of a TV show I should be able to catchup to a show in 1-2 months and only dedicating 1-2 nights per week.

Thanks USMCTiger03.

So you only have one tv in your house?

My husband and I have different shows that we enjoy. We have a tv in the living room and in a room my husband uses as an office/library/reading room/whatever. So if we don't want to watch the same thing...we just go in different rooms.

Ex: I love The Bachelor. Yeah I know...trash tv...but it's a guilty pleasure of mine. I would never make him sit and watch it with me though. I'll ask him where he wants to watch his shows that night so I'm not always hogging the bigger tv(although I think he actually prefers watching in the other room cause it's like his mini sanctuary. He's got a comfy chair in there, he can close the door and just escape the world in there).

If you have 2 hours, can't you pick one show, and she pick one show? That's usually what we do.

That's not exactly binge watching, but at least you're meeting in the middle on what you both watch.
