Perhaps that’s too complex of a concept for the audience to grasp, but would have made for a more interesting dynamic imo. Having some of the heroes struggle with that and maybe crossover sides pitting them against their comrades like in Cuvil War. Could still have the same ending play out after ultimately understanding wiping out half the universe may have helped with overpopulation, but the harm done to those left alive suffering from feelings of guilt/grief/etc. As in, yeah, maybe Thanos was right, but maybe what’s right isn’t what’s best.

Man I’ve been a fan of this genre since reading the comics as a kid, including the female characters of course, partial to X-Men, Storm, Phoenix, Kitty.
