None of those quarterbacks are free agents, but Cousins will be soon
Let’s see if Kirk can swindle one more big contract before the league realizes he’s washed. IMO he’s not a starter who can lead a team to be a playoff contender.

thought it was a movie about depression and hopelessness and how much it can destroy your life.
I think that’s pretty much the gist of it, but more accurately in the context of a nation in the midst of a civil conflict. The cycle of war seems inescapable because of humanity's normalization of it all. Neither side can let go of their stubbornness, so they allow the conflict dictate their lives. Most of the characters either can’t see the forest through the trees, or choose not to. All of them are encapsulated by it. Siobhàn is the only one who eventually realized she was another cog in the boringness of it all till she left the island. The dialogue between her and Colm is so well done. He claims to have no more time left for dullness in his life, yet can’t escape his dull feud with Pàdraic. Every time he’s provoked, he harms himself. She thinks she’s above it all until he reminds her that she’s guilty of the very same thing she confronts him about. Her leaving doesn’t end the conflict, but it does free her from the cyclical nature of civil conflict.

If you’re going to crush the whole pizza in one sitting then it’s the most efficient and practical way to go about it. Idk about cooking it in the oven with the cardboard tho. Usually just set the frozen pizza on the oven rack with a pan underneath o catch the grease.

Mothership is in a kind of shite area.
The few times I’ve been there they had private security and local police patrolling to keep the riff raff moving along. It’s so damn annoying trying to walk about town and having bums come up spewing some bullshite sob story looking for some money out of you.

the plot itself is pretty ridiculous. I think it needed a better explanation for the main conflict other than “paddy is dull”, It's an allegory for the Irish Civil War.
And a brilliant one at that. Probably my favorite movie in recent years.
Colm Doherty:
This isn't about Inisherin. It's about one boring man leaving another man alone, that's all.
Siobhan Súilleabháin:
One boring man! You're all feckin boring! With your piddling grievances over nothin'! You're all feckin boring! I'll see he doesn't talk to you no more.

the lack of details on this are strange for such a big shooting at a tourist location in US
Not that I’m one to infer before certain details are revealed, but I’ve got a hunch or two what demographic the suspect belongs to.

Democrats being against making America healthy and exposing the rampant fraud in the healthcare system because they’re both tied to MAGA is further proof Idiocracy was a prophecy for the US.

Backyard or driveway sports at a friend’s house before FNL then back over to said friend’s basement for FIFA tournaments and drinking. His dad would come down on occasion just to ask why there were never any girls around and if we were all gay or something. Those were the days.

Lazy arse fricks just leave the trash on the floor instead of putting it down the chute.
Happens where I live too. Even have a trash valet service where all you have to do is place your trash can outside your door for it to get collected. And yet, people still pile their trash on the floor inside the chute room. Will never understand how one can make it all the way to the trash chute room, but can’t manage throw it down the chute.

Right my bad forgot Baelor’s son. Assume something happens to him since we know Egg becomes king one day.

re: Who here would support Trump getting another term ...
Posted by NotoriousFSU on 2/23/26 at 2:04 pm to theballguy
Not I. Wouldn’t vote for that, and he’s getting too old. MAGA needs a fresh face after Trump’s second term. Feels like the next Republican can get more done in office without being scrutinized like Trump. Plus, him being out of office doesn’t relegate him to nothingness. We see how effective former Presidents can be once they leave office.

Not a lot happening in this episode, other than Egg disobeying his father and riding off with Dunk.
Beg to differ. I think it did a pretty good job showing all the different paths that lay ahead for many of the characters we’ve only gotten glimpses of so far. Dunk had a lot of opportunities presented to him that may have led him astray from becoming a good man and a good knight. Egg, when he felt Dunk wasn’t going to let him be his squire, immediately came very close to going down a bad path himself. We see Baratheon lay his cards on the table in his offer to Dunk, as well as the bad blood boiling towards the Crown which was brilliant foreshadowing for Robert’s Rebellion. Raymun, after being knighted and gaining glory having handled himself quite well in the trial of seven, will return home to be an apple orchard man and make babies with his new whoore wife. Maekar must carry the weight that he’s the heir after living in his brother’s shadow, and has to reign in his sons and put them each on oaths that will hopefully make them better men, although I don’t see much changing in Aerion. Pretty much followed the way GoT usually structures the second to last episode as having the most punch, then the last episode wraps things up and sets up what’s coming next season.

Well done HBO. AKOTSK was the fresh breath of life needed for the GOT realm. Now get to steppin on Season 2 before Egg’s balls drop, and it better have 10 episodes at 45 mins a piece bare minimum.
