Recently purchased a Fender Blues Junior. Only recently started playing again, so didn't want to spend a ton, but wanted a tube amp. Played it, then pulled the trigger. Afterwards found a lot on them being biased hot and burning up tubes and potentially damaging other stuff.
Honestly didn't know anything about bias prior to the purchase, but now know a tech can adjust any time you replace tubes. Everything I see says the BJr is biased at 90+% from the factory and should be more ~ 60%.
Is this a worthwhile thing to have adjusted to protect the Amp? Whats a typical price one could expect? Any recommendations in The Woodlands area? I've been in Kats Guitars and seen them working on amps, but have no idea of there are better options. Obviously not the most expensive amp, but don't want to have someone trash a $750 Amp that's 2 weeks old.
