Any of y'all remember Night Flight (TV series)

I was in college when it first aired in 1981. It aired on Saturday night at midnight if I recall correctly.

Had some great music videos, short movies and animated films.

This animation always stood out as pretty cool...and very strange:

Jack Mac & Rad Boy

Peter Ivers was the host of New Wave Theatre.

I was watching the night they announced he had been murdered by an intruder in his apartment.

"If you know a prayer, say one for Peter Ivers."

I can remember coming home late at night, as a teenager in the 80s, and hoping that they'd be playing some Three Stooges shorts.

You never knew what you'd see on Night Flight. It actually premiered a couple of months prior to Mtv launching.

"Haul arse to the party!"

At one time I knew all the lines to that cartoon. Night Flight was awesome! I have lots of episodes on VHS that I should convert.

I was 12 in 1980 and started watching it around that time. Seemed like the only opportunity to watch music before we had MTV.

The most prevailing rumor is that he was murdered by the co-creator of New Wave Theater. But the police let multiple people in and out of his apartment that night and that the crime scene was so contaminated that they'll most likely never solve the case.

Harold Ramis was a suspect and was interrogated by the police.

When we first got cable in '79, there was a show called Video Concert Hall on a channel called SPN. I specifically remember videos by Gary Numan, Tim Curry and The Police

Loved that show. I remember it as an awesomely strange mix of ‘80s music and ‘20s cinema.

I was a huge fan of new wave theater. Loved seeing 45 Grave, Angry Samoans and the Blasters in that format. Gave you the LA club experience in your living room. I had a vhs with some of the new wave theater stuff on it. I converted it to DVD and haven't watched it in Years.

Night Flight recently set up an online app subscription service. I got it for a few months and watched a few episodes of new wave theater, but the service was wonky and at some point I cancelled because I was having trouble logging in and couldn't get help from them.

The guy that supposedly killed him was also linked to the Rolling Stones' Redlands bust. ...David Jove. He supposedly set the Stones up to be arrested.
