Post some of your music

Are the people who are responding to me serious? Because I don't even know WHO I'm talking to by name, and have no way to meet you guys. And none of you have stated what you play. I'm looking for a few guitar players, keyboard players and a few strong singers.
And also none of you have shown whether you have done any original songs. You keep mentioning covers.

Is there anyone who DOESN'T already play in a band and is a huge synth nerd like me?
Can't help you there
All my synth guys live out of town

I wrote 5 on an EP released last year plus a few dozen others that I haven't recorded yet. I play rhythm guitar and sing (poorly) on that EP. I also play keyboard, trumpet, and bass outside of that band.

And do you have any samples of your stuff I can check out? I'd like to casually audition the person before getting together and doing any jamming. Remember, this is not just about playing covers, but also writing some original songs together.

Check the link in my post right above yours. While it's all rock stuff, the song "White Lines" may be more in the vein you're looking at. I don't have good videos or recordings of any of my other stuff. I just got an audiobox and intend to spend a lot of time with it this summer as soon as I figure out the latency issue that's been bugging me.

What's with people like you constantly linking to samples with just AUDIO? Where are the home videos of you playing your songs? This is important because I want to see the person interested as a loving person, not as just a musician.

OK, there's covering and then there's blatantly copying someone's voice. I'm NOT looking for people who brag about imitating a singer.
For singers, I want to find those who have found their own voice.

Because when you're asking about samples, I assume you want the ones with the best quality audio, and those are the ones with the best audio. Also, I don't upload every jam session to youtube, only the good stuff, and I mostly record stuff on my phone with just audio.

I did, I was extremely bored with them. The typical rock stuff that I always hear from people in Baton Rouge.
Where are the young adult male keyboard and synth players? And where are those who do not have any sort of music job, and merely play music for enjoyment like me?
Let's see more from those guys, and less from the heavy rockers.
And let's see responses from more people who are willing to show themselves in their videos, as opposed to those who just provide audio samples.

There's a really good one in Captain Green, you should check them out. Particle Devotion is another band in that genre that would be worth exploring too.
There's just not a lot of people in that vein who post here, or even people in general. There's really only about a dozen regular music board posters.

"Here's one video doing an acoustic version of White Lines live."
Not trying to be rude, but boring. And you already said you sing terrible. And you already blew your chance by stating that you are someone who's already playing in a band, meaning that you've already found your buddies and don't need one.
Next person, please.

Why the heck are you mentioning ALREADY existing bands? I'm looking for those guys who play as a hobby and are NOT in any bands. In other words, those who operate more like solo artists, and just HAPPEN to play some music on the side like me.
I'm not looking for those big dogs who are already out there playing and who have found their buds to jam with and who are making money in the BR music scene.
Why is that so hard to get through y'all's heads?

This thread has serious potential

Well, since you decided to be rude, f&%k you. The reason I was entertaining the idea of trying to help you despite your taste in music is that my band is breaking up. One member's moving away and another has another full time band. So, my bassist and I are about to be in need of a new project. Since you seem to be interested in original music instead of just covers, I was considering offering to help collaborate on writing music with you since you seem to be passionate about it, which is something I can respect. Since you're just going to be an elitist dick, though, you can go f&%k yourself.
Posted on 5/11/17 at 7:01 pm to cliffordn3
Because bands break up all the time and all of these guys have multiple side projects. They love to collaborate with other people. And nobody makes money playing original music in Baton Rouge. Everyone does it just out of the love for making it. And, even if they're not available, they often know people who are.

Yeah...where are the people who respond with their real name.
The purpose of my search is to find some dudes who share similar music tastes, but would also like to get together and help each other write some great songs together, but also leave room to do some other fun activities, like play some video games, and just hang out.
