Seen him at Ryman a ton and always good. I think this tour sounds better and more complete than previous ones. Have fun!

Has Bob Weir played more shows than any mainstream musician in history?

probably
he’s well over 10,000 live shows by now. it’s pretty remarkable. He has played constantly since 1965 and shows no sign of slowing down

Bobby is the man.
He was the first to put a band together and hit the road after Jerry died. Keeping the music alive. He’s kept on writing good new songs. He created TRI studios and started streaming live performances in high quality HD. Those free Weir Here webcasts every Wednesday were awesome. And then Move Me Brightly, a 5+ hour celebration of Jerry’s 70th birthday with a rotating lineup of musicians was one of the best shows I’ve ever seen. All the post-Jerry projects with other members of the Dead and his solo projects. He’s kept very busy.
He’s the youngest member of the band so hopefully he’s got a lot of life left in him. I’m going to miss him when he’s gone.
Btw, if you don’t own the Heaven Help the Fool album, you really should. It’s awesome. And from the samples I’ve heard of the 50th anniversary remaster of Ace on the Grateful Dead Hour, that sounds really, really good.
