fricking Eminem is amazing, first one to really dig at me with lyrics back when I was younger. I feel like Krit and Kendrick are on a whole other level than the rest of the industry as of now

Pre-last CD Childish Gambino
Logic
Creative and sometimes humorous lyrics
Also, Lil' Dicky - Sports. Sports fans will love that song

For being an actor/comic (who's pretty fricking funny in that role) Childish Gambino can fricking rap but I wouldn't put him even next to the pedestal that Kendrick, Krit, 8 ball, Pimp C etc are on

And Curren$y is by far the most lyrically talented rapper to come out of Nola in a while (I'm not totally well versed on old school guys though)
Breakfast, produced by Mos Def, is one of my favorites by him

to go with people that have already been mentioned:
i don't really know a lot of whoever the kids are listening to today but kendrick lamar is great.
so is tech n9ne his shite is right in my wheelhouse.
i love childish gambino and would agree that "camp" is a better album than his current one. love "bonfire", "you see me", and "freeks and geeks."
my all time fave is eminem. that guy uses almost every part of the buffalo in rhyme structure. easily my favorite MC of all time.

One of my favorite verses right here
Ab-Soul:]
I'm solo, take a photo, blowin no dough in a dojo
[Kendrick Lamar:]
We a green light, you a no go Hey Q go!
[Schoolboy Q:]
No rock go!
[Jay Rock:]
I'm a rock though, like a rock though and my eyes low and I drive slow like paul wall!
[Schoolboy Q:]
Give it back though, I gotcha
Ab-Soul
Nah frick that, I'm a ball hog
[Kendrick Lamar:]
No frick that, they gon fall off
[Schoolboy Q:]
Gotta sawed off, I'm a hop out and let it all off, hop back in then I haul off
[Kendrick Lamar:]
We situated, we hit the pavement so hard we all got ground to play with
[Ab-Soul:]
A challenger is like, last year calendars
[Jay Rock:]
Yup, your all outdated
[Kendrick Lamar:]
We all amazing, you all can hate it, you can live or die that's your ultimatum
Married to the game at the alter wasted
A pound of white rice on the side by Asians
[Schoolboy Q:]
**** didn't ride for me, bitches didn't sign me
And what's the one thing they hated most?

I feel like Krit, Kdot, and Eminem are at the top but Joey Badass and the pro era crew have some really dope tracks. I think Joey will turn heads with his first album.

Half of that makes no sense and is lazy.

You have to listen to it in the song, it's just a fun verse between the 3 of them, the flow is legit

MF DOOM
Pharoahe Monch (PTSD 2...COP IT)
Black Thought
Immortal Technique
Brother Ali
I'll always be a fan of Tech, but he isn't on this plateau
