What a disappointment! Bush? These guys peaked in 1998. I thought the new promoter guy was supposed to be good. This isn't in the stratosphere of big or important or relevant to the Varsity becoming a reputable music venue.

Id consider seeing them for $20 bucks but no way in hell I would pay premium to see them.
I'd max out at like 30 I guess.

When someone said Beatles and oasis and I said "close" I had to laugh
Close as In Geography

Is it Bush? I'd go see them.

Letdown should be added to the title? At least for me. I've never been a real fan

They were going to be my next guess... Hence why I was asking "Popular in the 90's with a recent album?"

I got the geography close hint after Beatles and oasis
That counts for something.

Interestingly enough, I just figured this out and was revisiting this thread. They play the HOB in October, so it's probably the day before or after.

Oh lerd. He just booked the flaming lips and has a lot of quality stuff on the horizon.
Give it some time
Bush will 100% sell out and it will be a good show. It's nostalgic factor is through the roof.

Also, if the answer to this tread is "Bush", it should be fricking anchored.

When do the tickets go on sale?

Also, if you have any pull, I think Third Eye Blind would sell out in a flash despite the fact that Jenkins is a turd and half the band isn't the same.

Bush is pretty par for the course with the Varsity. Probably didn't warrant their own thread but thanks for keeping us informed.

To be fair, your friend's job is to make money for the Varsity. Coolness factor will always be secondary.
