It probably means John Mayer is moving on and this is the end for that lineup. Oteil already has Oteil & Friends. As has been pointed out, Bobby’s not going to stop. (And he doesn’t get enough credit for being the first one to keep the music going after Jerry passed away.)
Phil is still playing. None of those guys are getting any younger. But they’re passing the torch to younger generations. The music will never die.
I haven’t been to Riverbend in Cincinnati in many years. It’s not a bad venue but you definitely want to sit in the pavilion. The lawn sucks. It’s probably better now but the last time I was there, probably around 20 years ago, the grass was so torn up that they’d actually replaced the grass with astroturf.
They’ll play a great show at Deer Creek. That’s a great place to see a show. They treat performers well and the bands deliver.

Riverbend is...OK. It's hard to see the band from the lawn but they probably have big screens by now. I was in the pavilion in 85 and it was an awesome show. I was only at the 90 Deer Creek shows. The first night was the better of the two but I was in the front row so I am biased. Second night I was ten or fifteen rows back, still pretty good gig. The lawn is probably pretty good as the shed is so open.
Chicago after was also good but the placed sucked hard. We all know how those ended up.
Probably will hit St. Louis again. Not really worried about tickets. It is really slow...but I enjoy it none the less.

Ha, just noticed they are playing SPAC on the 40th anniversary of that monster show from '83. Nice.
