Just have SDRE open for FF and pull double duty. everyone wins including the fans.

They go Led Zepplin and call it done. If they have any other finished music they put together an album of it.
Are they as good as LZ? Hell no. But they lasted twice as long and Grohl has gone through this twice.
I see Grohl drumming for someone probably. Who did he drum with for a brief time during a FF break?

In this twilight zone world we’re living in I wouldn’t be surprised to see Nandi Bushell be the next FF drummer

I think they call it quits. I can see them playing some one-off shows with a guest drummer sometime in the future but I don't think Dave makes any more music under the Foo banner.

Them Crook Vultures getting back together and releasing a new record would be nice.
**John Paul Jones is 76 years old so that's probably a pipe dream.

I was thinking Travis Barker might be a good fit to step in a fill in for Taylor. I know they were friends. Travis has been doing a lot of features lately but he would probably be down.

Foo Fighters have been my favorite band for many years, and I still can't believe Taylor is gone. Having said that, I agree with you.
Aside from a possible tribute concert where the guys do a set with some guest drummers as an homage to Taylor, I just hope Dave follows the example set by Zeppelin following Bonham's death and never does anything else under the Foo Fighters banner. Personally, I don't want to see anyone else in Taylor's seat.

Could see him getting an all star band together of his friends and doing a tour like that.

I think someone like Grohl must rock. There’s no way he can turn it off. That being said, I don’t know if he can do it under the FF banner. It might be way too hard for him without TH. Howard Stern was playing this clip where DG and TH were being interviewed by him (via Zoom), but didn’t know they were live yet. They were just riffing back and forth on which one of the Eagles was more successful as a solo artist - Don or Glenn. Just hearing the two of them talk candidly not knowing they were on the air…these dudes were like musical twins. But I do think he has an incredible relationship with all the other dudes. Could he walk away from them?

He helped get Queens of the Stone Age off the ground for sure, and their Bassist just kicked the bucket too.
Maybe Josh Homme and Dave make more magic while the Hawkins sting wears off.

The Foo Fighters will not continue.

There will be respectful amount of time off, then discussion of shutting down FF......but then Dave decides FF owe it to the fans to keep FF going for another 30 years. Dg will figure out how to market this "tragedy"

That's actually an interesting debate. I was never much of an Eagles fan but I like a lot of their solo stuff. The Boys of Summer is an absolute classic but the Glenn Frey solo stuff is pretty good, especially the Miami Vice tunes. I would probably have to go with Don.
