That appears to be somewhat based on the Gibson J-200, which isn't for everybody, they have a big lower bout and are uncomfortable to some players, but are great guitars.
As far as fretting goes, that's all in the setup.
Take that guitar by a good shop that specializes in acoustic instruments and ask their opinion of it and what they can do. Check your email.
